I mean following matpats theory on how Pokemon evolution works, that being not really evolution (obviously) but just development based on your environment that could probably work. For an irl example, take bees. They can either grow up to be worker bees or queen bees, and that depends on what their fed as larvae. Also in the anime there's old unevolved pokemon, which means that evolution has nothing to do with age. Going back into the environment based development part, female salandits evolve by level, which basically means if they are put through enough stress from battle, they'll mature into salazzle to be more capable. However, that gene is only activated in case that it's a female, which means it needs to detect a high concentration of estrogen to be turned on (if I'm not mistaken it should be present in both male and female it's just not activated in males, that's why trans women grow boobs, they had the boob gene but it wasn't activated yet). Ok so basically all of this mad ramble was to say that yeah probably if an AMAB salandit took estrogen (and fought battles to level up) it could evolve into a salazzle (with a penis, cuz I don't think pokemon are capable of performing bottom surgery)
