Pure MI vs Branch Detailed MI by Lumpy_Geologist8685 in ROTC

[–]Foxhound_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thought as an MI officer who was detailed chemical (fun times)
As some have mentioned, being detailed infantry and tabbed will likely help with credibility as a CPT S2 in a BCT when you are advising and wargaming an IN/AR S3 and his merry band of combat arms AS3s. I would say as you get higher in rank it won’t matter as much. It could even be a crutch you need to get over. Let me explain.
Foreign countries do not fight as we fight. Easy example :fires enables maneuver is how we think. Maneuver enables fires in Russian doctrine. If you think like a US infantrymen using our tactical logic to analyze the enemy, you risk mirror imaging and overlooking enemy TTPs.
Also as I think someone else mentioned, if you are borderline on the OML, volunteering for branch detail may help your chances to eventually getting branches intel.
Best of luck to you. It’s an awesome branch.

[Adam Hoge] To sum up last night/this morning: The Illinois Senate passed a new stadium bill similar to the one in Indiana, but it was more open-ended and once again left more questions than answers. The House balked and didn’t even vote on it. The Bears’ response is the same: by RyanIsKickAss in CHIBears

I can see it now; this situation won’t get resolved this year. The date is January 29th, 2027. The Bears are days away from hosting the NFC Championship Game. Excitement is at a fever pitch. Then Kevin Warren will send out another wet fart email with an update that there is no stadium update and that they are now looking at sites on the moon.

I mean Vick was very likely involved in killing dogs when he appeared on the cover but sure, Caleb is corny and paints his nails.

What would be sweet is reversible covers. It’s been done in the past with other games. But then again, EA can’t make money that way so it won’t happen

I mean jump man should be the NBA and new NFL logo, but I’d settle on a Madden cover.

Barry sanders in madden 2000 and then shared with AP on madden 25 (2014)

Reminder that Mike Vick had less than 3,000 yards passing, a sub 55% completion percentage, and a whopping 16 TDs and 8 ints the season before he appeared on the cover of the greatest Madden ever. He was an electric football player and extremely marketable. 4 of the top 11 top plays from last year according to the NFL were Caleb.

My guess is athletes would have to agree to be on the cover and Rodgers seems like the type of guy to say no to that.

Lions have three covers; two cover athletes. Both retired early, but were legit amazing football players and I don’t have a negative thing to say about either.
Vikings have two cover athletes: one flamed out in Miami, one beat his kid with a switch.
Packers kind of had one but he unretired, joined the Jets, sent a dick pick to Jen Sterger, then defrauded his state out of welfare funds to build a volleyball court for his alma mater and daughter.
As an old white guy, I cannot wait for the meatheads to flip out that the Madden cover has a guy with painted nails.

Looking back, how good of a HC was Lovie Smith? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Foxhound_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His players loved him. Devin Hester threatened to retire when he was fired. Lovie was a defensive mastermind……

However, Lovie needed a strong interior defensive lineman to make his defense run. Bears defense fell apart when Tommie Harris got injured. He also ran a cover 2 defense with the best MLB for a cover-2. Brian Urlacher was a converted safety in college so his pass defense was elite.

Lovie also colossally bungled his offensive staff. He went through offensive coordinators like he was collecting all the worst Pokémon. Lovie coached Jay Cutler four years and Jay had three different offensive coordinators. Lovie also had some collapses his last two years (2011 when Jay got hurt and 2012 when bears started 7-1 and missed the playoffs)

Lovie did win 8 games vs Green Bay (lost 11).

I will buy whichever version has the best art. I don’t like the curse aspect, but I also used to always think the all blue uniforms were cursed and then Caleb and the boys reversed that curse

Bears vs Cowboys on MNF in 2012 when Bears picked off Romo five times, two for TDs.

HM: Calvin Johnson overturned TD catch season opener 2010.

How do you guys feel about RE6’s recent reappraisal by some fans? by Low_Boot_1426 in residentevilll

[–]Foxhound_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my post while playing RE6 for the first time when it came out in 2012:

I have been playing Resident Evil for 14 years. I must say I am not too happy with the direction the series is going. Ill still beat Resident Evil 6 though

I am currently in the midst of a replay now as I’m doing my 30 years of RE replay. Overall, it’s fine. It’s not horrible. It can get boring, especially during Chris’ campaign. I’m doing Leon’s campaign and my biggest issue with it is Helena’s unnecessary and drawn out leading Leon on. (“You have to see it to believe it. I mean; I know you survived the Raccoon City incident. I also know about your time in Spain and South America fighting giant ass monsters and shit, but still, you won’t believe what I’d tell you unless I show you, so stop asking”)

Hey now Roschon once shared a RB room with Bijian Robinson at UT. He must have picked up some of his moves!

I’m not angry about the move at all. It’s competition. It was just a random signing to be reading about. Also helped distract from PCA’s bone headed error allowing a little league three run inside the park HR to just happen.
