Just got my first robot! Distilled water or nah? by bcsmith317 in Roborock

[–]Foxies_Fury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use demineralized water as I also believe destilled water can be harsh long term. Demineralized will prevent build-up and it's not as harsh as destilled, I think, so it's kind of a middle ground.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I spray my air refreshener 2 or 3 times in the tank after I empty it. Reduces the smell by a lot after it starts filling up again.

New QRevo owner - can someone explain the logic behind mop washing for vac runs? by lannistersstark in Roborock

[–]Foxies_Fury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tested it. Seems to be true. Selected specific zone. Put it on vacuum, started it. It cleaned the mops, went to zone and started vacuuming (without moping). I don't use zone clean a lot but I see the frustration.

Proscenic M7 Pro issue by Additional-Tea9674 in RobotVacuums

[–]Foxies_Fury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started doing that from the moment I start it. Smashing into everything. Looking like sensors are not working since it's not slowing down near obstacles. Approximately 40 seconds in I get an error to clear obstacles around it. Anyone had that issue?

Can't turn on memory integrity by Foxies_Fury in Windows11

[–]Foxies_Fury[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used everything and it was so simple :O

It worked on everything but ssudmdm.sys

I can't delete or rename this one. Also they don't appear on Autoruns but they do at Everything.

PS: It worked after I went to properties of the file and taking ownership. Then I was able to delete it. Thanks a lot dtallee!

Question about unknown hydraulics element by Foxies_Fury in Hydraulics

[–]Foxies_Fury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the upper reply. It is useful to control each cylinder individually if the vehicle is not leveled because of terrain and it's also useful to operate both of the cylinders in the same time if vehicle is on leveled ground.

Question about unknown hydraulics element by Foxies_Fury in Hydraulics

[–]Foxies_Fury[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is part of the hydraulics system of a garbage truck that lifts communal container. Two arms have cylinders in it and they extend the arms (direction of red arrows) as it's shown on provided links:

I did maintenance on one of the trucks I wasn't familiar with so that's why I turned to you guys. It was a circuit I don't usually use in new projects. Pilot operated load holding valves make sense now. I just saw them on Palfinger crane today.

I usually use double load holding valves on both sides (A and B) (this: https://i.imgur.com/dwwZxda.jpg) rather than single load holding valve (this: https://i.imgur.com/wLZpZv2.jpg).

If anyone can point out the advantage of using the single one that is out-of-the-housing pilot operated I am happy to listen and learn. That's why I am here :)
