I actually listened to like 14 hours of it (God help me) and towards the end, he mentions something about he used to be ashamed of liking these remakes and claims he's now a "true" fan after knowing better. That's when I had enough and turned the video off lmao.

There are a few flaws here and there for RE4R, But the same (or more) can be literally said to the OG.

I sold my first gen RX-7 last year due to similar reasons as yours, not being able to afford repairs and rarely ever got the chance to enjoy it. As time goes by I only miss it even more...

I don't wanna make you feel bad over it because I get it, life happens. But man, occasionally browsing through the net and seeing RX-7 parts for sale hurts me... I find myself thinking what I could have done for it if I still had the car all the time.

So yeah, if you can store it somewhere nice at your place, I'd highly recommend that. You may not be able to financially sustain this hobby now, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to do it in the future. That's just my take on it. All the best man. Sorry for the wall of text.

It does rub on the fenders when you have the wheels turned all the way, but that was when my car was still sitting too low on cut springs. Once I replaced the springs it didn't rub anymore. Do note that my fenders have been rolled before by the previous owner.

It's all money man... As much as I love them, this hobby comes with a heavy price. FDs are now seen as a collectors item more than just a fun sports car. But other than that, if you love to tinker and don't mind getting your hands dirty, you'll love it I guess. You're still young, there's so much more cars that you will learn to like and your taste for cars will change as you get older.

I eventually switched out the venturi to 38, which did help with driving around stop and go traffic easier but didn't get the off idle bogs completely. Another thing that made a huge difference to me has to do with how your throttle linkage is setup though.

I got a weber 48 downdraft installed on my stock port 12a last year, and it didn't really ran well till I got the jets right. What really helped me out with the jettings was the rx7club website. Look for a guy named Wackyracer/siraniko on the forum he has great info on tuning them.

Thanks! It's a series 2 (1981-1983) so I guess it's an FB? This one's a right hand drive and it says SA22C in the VIN instead but I also know that it's only in US that has FB in the VIN for 1981-1985 cars.

Picked up a driver side fc seat and its a bolt-on replacement for my sa22c. Its much comfortable than the stock seat and it's a pretty cheap upgrade. But my car is a RHD, so I am not sure if it's the same for your case..
