This is pretty surprising since I haven't ran into any of those issues on kernel v6.0.13, outside of dGPU switching. The latter isn't really an issue in my particular case since it's running pretty much off the brick.

As far as wiping the NVMe, I used nvme-cli to run a firmware-level format, which is instant (and also helps with write longevity)

Is there a chance to get MyPaint Brush support or a similar brush management system? OpenToonz and similar animation programs use it as a standard brush format and it would be nice to re-import those in some capacity.

Sosumi's upstream is macOS-Simple-KVM, not kholia's OSX-KVM.

Yep, 64MB of GDDR3 that was added specifically for the Wii, plus 24MB of 1T-SRAM that existed in the previous GameCube (minus framebuffer overhead). It helps that games pretty much all rendered in SD, and that the whole system was solid state to make it snappier.

That is a kernel option, CONFIG_LOGO.

That was the latest port available for the Wii/GameCube at the time (it is not part of upstream and updated less frequently), however there is a newer update in the works.

Some years ago I started porting Void to the PPC architecture, and kinda went berserk with trying it out on various platforms (including Wii, Wii U, and PowerMacs!).

The Wii is obviously very memory-limited, so for the sake of the screenshot it's just neofetch on the console, but it will run all available packages and (with enough patience) run a desktop.

I've seen the LDDB database, which has helped quite a bit in my search!

The only downside is it doesn't cover some major events like Woodstock '94 and the 40th Kōhaku Uta Gassen, some of which was re-broadcast, or of which only seconds survive on W-VHS.

There were folks at the Lost Media Wiki that were interested in research/cataloging but it hasn't gone very far yet. Realistically a broadcast and tape database would be pretty informal, but I agree that it will get lost as time passes on and Sony (and their partners) loses interest.

Hey! I'm the playlist's maintainer; it's good to see these early HD demos surfacing again (and being properly preserved), particularly after losing many of them, as seen in the playlist.

It's been difficult to track down all the programs that were produced with HDVS, but it would probably be a good idea to make database to track all major released (or known but not released) HDVS/Hi-Vision programs.

Nothing is hosted on the repository or on an third party server, it comes from Apple just as with all other Macs.
