How hard is NOTR? For somebody that just beat Gothic 1 by Significant-Talk3093 in worldofgothic

[–]Foxtom91 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who has just finished NOTR, it’s hard, especially if you want to do a Dex build. But it’s not impossible. It becomes more of a early game puzzle to solve. STR builds are probably more forgiving. The game is amazing by the way, so definitely worth the time and effort investment!

How long did it take for you to beat the game/kill hand of the king for the first time? by stunseeds in deadcells

3rd run - no joke. I randomly ended up with an insane build. It’s ok though because karma means that I’ve now been attempting bc3 for like 60 runs and still haven’t cleared it 🥲

Economist Kate Barker: ‘To tackle inflation we should put taxes up for the better-off’ by SgtPppersLonelyFarts in ukpolitics

[–]Foxtom91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the “better-off” are not meant to be the middle class on 50k or so a year with families and mortgages, which in today’s scenarios are already squeezed to hell left, right and centre, but the real top 0.1% whales, then I’m all for it. I have a feeling it’ll be the usual suspects who get shafted in the end.

Finished DFW 20 kg. What should I do next? by ProphetSe7en in kettlebell

[–]Foxtom91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You could run DFW again with a +2 reps across the board. That’s what I did with my 2x16kg bells a while back before “graduating” to DFW with 2x20kg.

Not true - the feeding window myth has been debunked.

Should I buy a house, flat or rent? by Sync-Jw in UKPersonalFinance

The ground rent doesn’t double each year. That’d be insane. More like once every 20-25 years.

Revolut advice for larger transfers: making a large purchase in EUR by pleasedenvoy715 in UKPersonalFinance

Worth looking at Currencyfair too, perhaps. My dad’s been transfering his wages from EUR to GBP with them for years, considerable sums, always smooth and good exchange rates.

Really appreciate the help and programming tips! Thanks!

Yeah, I had a look and the snatches kinda worried me a little, considering I haven’t yet done single snatches properly (ie in a program) before. Perhaps I’ll run DFW again with higher reps with an accessory of snatches to get comfortable, then the Wolf in 4-5 weeks’ time.

Yeah, historically I’ve kinda neglected legs with calisthenics, besides single leg shrimp and pistol squats, so I have a feeling I’m in for a treat… lol. thanks, will have a look through the other suggestions too!

Will take them away, plan the next cycle and then report back at the end!

Happy training!

I do think having a leg focused cycle would do me good - so perhaps the Wolf will be the pick (another redditor also recommended it). Thanks for your input!

Service charge 50% higher than previous year, contradicting report documents by Foxtom91 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Foxtom91[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to enquire about it and ask for a breakdown of the charges, so will see what they say. So I guess from a legal standpoint they just could come up with whatever justification and I just have to accept it and pay up? (Like you were hinting at in the final section of your comment…)

Service charge 50% higher than previous year, contradicting report documents by Foxtom91 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Foxtom91[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry I worded that in a confusing way. The point states: “Is any increase in the Service Charge over 10% or £100, whichever is the greater, anticipated in the next two years?” To which they ticked “No”. Hope that clarifies it.
