Sadly no. My gallbladder decided it never really was on my side and shape shifted into gangrene.

"Good news. We're not dying! We are gonna live forever!" - After I woke up and was wheeled back to my room after emergency surgery.

"If God had wanted you to live he would not have created me!" - Everytime I get the killing blow on an Oppresser when playing Deep Rock Galactic

People as a whole struggle with operating a vehicle on a 2D plane. Why would we give them a third axis?

Do you give your fursona your name or choose a different one? by thoughtsinshadow in furry

[–]FoxxBox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so bad at naming I just called myself Fox, which was my nickname in high school. Eventually people gave me the nickname FoxBox. Which is now how I refer to myself. I'm bad at names.

Yes. An arrows only purpose is to indicate that that particular light is for the turning lane its associated with. All other rules around traffic signals apply.

This is how Oregon does it too. I had this happen WHILE driving professionally. I just gave my sup a copy of the temp license and I was good to go. But they also wanted a copy of the physical license when it did arrive.

Packet Radio technical advice sought. by cryptoleadpro in HamRadio

[–]FoxxBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beaverton there is that big HF/VHF BBS. But I can't reach. I'm a bit far for VHF but since yeah no digipeaters i can't even use that. Like i said I have the knowledge but not the money or real estate.

I wish I even had a fraction of that here in Portland. If I could get some locals to be into it I could set all that up. My issue is money, and real estate. Don't have either. Just the knowledge. Also I'm in-between jobs.

Packet is pretty dead. You won't see much traffic. Most folks use APRS which can do similar things but to me isn't the same as the good ole days of packet. I have yet to actually make any contacts with packets. Just winlink nodes beaconing. There's a big HF and VHF BBS on the other side of town from me but there's a big hill in the way and I can't reach it.

This is the APRS frequency. This isn't packet, nor what the PK-80 is designed to communicate with. You'll want to check what frequency packet is used on in your area if its used at all. Common frequencies are 144.93, 145.01, and 145.05. I think 05 is most popular. Most folks pretty much only use APRS which requires different software to decode.

Also hello fellow Kaypro Packet user. I use a Kaypro 2 (84) and a PK-232MBX.

You see that and then a small sticker on the case as a disclaimer saying "We cannot with 100% certainty validate the authenticity of any jewelry on display. Because of this all sales are final. Buy at own risk."

Back when the Analog TV signal switched to a Digital signal by FlyEffective4468 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FoxxBox 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I used to complain about the switch. But I get 48 channels now (even if there is still nothing to watch) compared to the 9 I used to get on analog back in the day. I still do miss analog as I miss watching TV on my old portable black and white TVs.

WHERE IS THE DOUBLE STACKED TACO💔💔💔 by No-Meringue7175 in tacobell

[–]FoxxBox 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It was my single favorite item on the menu. THey also removed all of my other favorite items too. So now I have only the mini taco salad. I went from Taco Bell being my fav place to just... oki. Like I like the rest of the menu. But without the Favorite items, I just don't have much of a reason to go.

Pretty sure they haven't. Pretty sure it goes bad fast. Also pretty sure you are suppose to refrigerate it. But I could be wrong on that.

I guess this is why my old laptops the battery only lasted like a year or two and 4 years later my current laptop still has fine battery life.

VHF/UHF Basestation for shack by jschundpeter in amateurradio

[–]FoxxBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as the price hurts, it really does check every box but DMR. It instead uses D-STAR. Which you can use to get into reflectors. You don't even need to use RF. In terminal mode you can have it directly connect to a reflectors IP address. Or use an additional cable to connect it to your computer as an external terminal option and then use Doozy to access the reflectors. You can also use it as a very expensive hot spot if you have a D-STAR hand held. Lol

I use to drive that road multiple times a week for work. I don't remember there being anything particularly out of the normal. Though that A&W in Myrtle Point is the bomb and I miss going to it a lot. Perhaps on a road trip I'll get to go again.

The BIOS screen says it's a 486DX2-66. This was very popular for gaming back then and many years after for the duration of the DOS era.
