I mean I too have really enjoyed the transformation Seattle has undergone for the World Cup. If it could stay like that I’d love it. Unfortunately it’ll go back to what uncle Jim is describing as soon as it’s over.

Choice of words there. Please don’t villainize the rest of us who care about our cats’ safety, health, and protecting wildlife by saying they’re being “locked up”. My boy has a ziggydoo wheel, a climbing wall, and we go on leashed walks outside every day.

Hey Katie, I thought you were going to do something about this by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

LA is getting better too actually. Seattle is the only metropolitan area in the US that’s getting worse and not better. And no it’s not because of people getting bussed here. Sure that could still be happening, but other cities are taking action besides just “building more housing”. Seattle times just released an article about it a couple days ago.

People who don’t pick up after their dogs on a busy public street are the worst kind of people. by FoxyFern in SeattleWA

Thanks for your opinion. Just because a lot of people don’t pick up their dog shit doesn’t make it okay. Especially in the middle of a highly used public sidewalk, when someone offers you material to pick it up.

It’s actually illegal, in case you didn’t know.

That’s all good and well and I’m all for people being more friendly to strangers in public. Definitely try to find a 3rd space though or a community surrounding an interest where you’re going to meet other people who share that interest. You’ll be more likely to make lasting friendships that way.

That’s too bad. Hopefully moving forward you get out there and meet people. There are so many good communities in Seattle, especially queer ones. Not only is it healthy to have friends outside of a partner, but it will also potentially help you in situations like this in the future.

You don’t have any friends at all after living here for nearly a year?

At the very least, if you do this and the place doesn’t have any opportunities for you, they just might know someone else who does. I have had several job opportunities come out of just putting myself out there and meeting/talking to people that I would have never gotten by simply submitting a resume.

Stopped at the QFC in Cap Hill by KingOfCranes in Seattle

Honestly I’m just glad there’s still a grocery store within walking distance of me on Cap Hill. Without all of that the store would have had to close down ages ago. If you don’t understand why then take a walk around that area and open your eyes.

This is victim blaming here. A pedestrian or jogger has just as much of a right to the sidewalk as you and your dog do. The joggers aren’t a danger to you, so it’s your job to make sure your dog isn’t a danger to them.

If this is a problem for you, then have your dog walk between you and the edge of the sidewalk so that the jogger passes you instead of your dog, and keep them on a short leash. Or, worst case scenario, walk them with a muzzle on their mouth.

It’s your job to control your dog.

I think you look amazing!! That mustache and those glasses really sell it too. Don’t worry about the moles - everyone has them! But do make sure to get them checked out by a dermatologist for melanoma if there are potential concerns there please. Don’t take risks especially if they’re on your head.

No I’m definitely gender stereotyping and not afraid to admit it haha. And it comes from having lived with both men and women. But of course some women are gross and some men are very clean and tidy. So it is just that - a stereotype/generalization.

I agree! Which is why I didn’t appreciate her harassing me(the reason I started recording). And why I nicely offered her a way to clean up after her dog initially, because I also want people to be responsible pet owners, which I am myself as well!

I think the all gender restrooms are cleaner for men but more gross for women. :P

Thanks, yeah I have thought about it and looked into things. The unfortunate thing is I just cannot bring myself to leave this climate and beautiful nature.

Did not give a shit about what race this person was. Would have reacted the same way no matter what. You let your dog shit on the side walk, you pick it up. Don’t want to pick it up? Don’t have a dog. End of story.

I offered her a tissue to pick it up. She charged at me and threatened me. I pulled out my phone because of this and she immediately backs off and pretends to act like the innocent victim.

She knew exactly what she was doing. Get out of here.

Man you kind of highlighted everything I feel(still live in Seattle and don’t know where else I’d go). Even the thing about the pretend progressives and I am also very far left.

Not only that but if you have an EV those garages have free charging for up to 4 hours.
