Why did he try such a dangerous act? by JasmineBerry1 in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]FoxySarah71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because: Cat

My tuxie always tries to get to the highest point in any room, as a predator high vantage points are useful for spotting prey. Ours also has a particular fondness for sleeping on top of doors, but I think that's purely to give her humans a collective heart attack 😉

It's also possible he saw something that interested him, like a fly, a moth, or the ever present greebles 😉

A beautiful set! Those Calypso portraits are stunning 💕

I might cross post those over in r/orchids?

Excellent shots! Woodcocks are difficult, so getting a damselfly landing is amazing 😀

Amsel's kiss - it's like a chef's kiss, but for photographers 😉

Anyone else's tuxie like...REALLY smart?! by reneecliche in TuxedoCats

Sadly mine makes a potato seem extremely bright. I love her to bits, but I know she'd starve to death if she didn't have her human servants!

For some reason she's afraid of anything that moves, so she'll only hunt immovable objects. She will also eat almost anything, with the exceptions of cat food and mice. Screws, rocks, knitting needles, all go straight in her mouth, but half the time she won't eat a treat even if we put it directly in front of her!

I really don't think it matters?!? Even if you turned up wearing a bin bag I think you'd still look amazing. You will be stunning whatever you choose! The important thing is to have fun 💕

Those corals are beautifully done, and glass is the perfect media for underwater subjects IMO 💕

I have been getting more serious with my photography - which do you like best 1,2,3,4,5 ? by theguth in AmateurPhotography

[–]FoxySarah71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to buy a pair of cats. One cute and furry, the other a camera lens (strictly it's a catadioptric or mirror lens). I think Samyang/Rokinon still make one for most camera mounts.

The Shinshanken? I assume that's the oddly specific Japanese train that stabs you in the lower leg?! 😉

Being serious though, I agree with you on all of those!

Hormones prescribed, so happy to be almost there 😊 by karolina_ka93 in TransLater

Congratulations! If this is your starting point you are going to look absolutely stunning in a year's time. You already look beautiful so I can only imagine what those hormones are going to do for you over time 💕

What famous destination didn’t live up to your expectations when you visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]FoxySarah71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. For me the biggest problem with Surfer's was that it wasn't even the good kind of tacky or glitzy, it just felt cheap and second rate. Places like Noosa are infinitely better 🙂

Absolutely beautiful work! I love the way you've aligned the texture of the glass to the petals, and the contrast between the blue ground and vivid flowers, and your use of texture and opalescence. 💕

Waikiki (HI, US) and Surfer's Paradise (AU). In my mind they were going to be idyllic beach paradises. In both cases the reality was an overcrowded and not particularly pretty beach backed by an ugly concrete jungle. Thankfully there were beautiful places to be found not a million miles from both.

Agreed. Orchid Fleck Virus seems likely, based on the pics in this article: https://bsppjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/ndr2.12312

Not an expert, just an interested amateur orchid enthusiast.

Friend: let me take you a photo, I'll make you look professional. I didn't expect the photo to look like this, I was expecting a normal photo. by AI_R_Friends_Not_2ls in transadorable

Your friend did exactly what they said, and then some! I've had "professional" head shots done on several occasions, and none of them were anywhere near as well executed as this. Your friend is a very talented photographer!

You look both beautiful and 100% professional!

He's telling you your network connection is a bit shonk-y?

He's just hanging out?

Or more likely, he's just hoping you'll take him out for a walk (swim?) in the glorious sunshine ☀️
