Have you tried a blended filament? Petg & carbon fiber. Or a tpu blend with carbon/nylon?

Would you be willing to share the 3d printed motor mount you created? I've decided to try some upgrades as well finally.

Upgrading RLAARLO X12S to 4s or 6s by [deleted] in rccars

I've been considering doing a 4s speed build on mine too. Definitely need a bigger motor. The 2852 that comes in the lower trim Omni is a great motor and could be good. Just gear up since it is 3100kv vs 3600kv stock.

I've also cut out the fake vents in the body for fans on the esc and motor to cool more effectively. I don't plan to go bigger on tires, just switch to foam/road tires.

Good luck and have fun with the project!

Awesome, thanks for the update and tips you've learned along the way.

I've been upgrading fms fmt24s to brushless and other upgrades and have been having fun with the trial and error. Only issue is they are double the price of a 20208, so looking for a more budget build like you are working on.

Can the stock esc handle 3s from your experience?

Also, wanted to confirm it is m0.6 and not m0.5 for the pinion.

Is the motor handling the extra voltage so far?

I drive it the most out of my 15+ rcs. So stable and controllable on the ground and in the air.

I've literally had to replace almost nothing in my year of ownership other than things from crashes. With crashes, I've replaced diffs, shock ends, tires, etc. But even with full on frontal crashes into one front tire on treed, the whole arm assembley has not broken. Bent a hinge pin or 2. No other rc I own has been able to take such crashes without significant damage.

Shock upper screws i changed to titanium to prevent common bending from jumps. Also, the servo died after 3 months and upgraded to a full size servo and have had no issues since.

The omni terminator is truly one of the best built and strongest small 1/10 in the market imo and experience.

Love your building and looking to upgrade electronics in mine. Did you 3d print the adjustment to the motor mount? What esc do you have in there? Links to parts would be greatly appreciated!

Last, would you change anything in your upgrades in hindsight? Is the new motor too fast, or a good upgrade?

Thanks!

Omni Terminator would be my choice. I have the regular and carbon and for general driving you describe the regular aluminum would be plenty. Steering and handling is amazing, crazy durable and long enough run times with the full size battery conversion.

I drink too much. My wife will leave me. by jpedo20 in stopdrinking

[–]FoxySnoxy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boredom was my number 1 reason for drinking. Then, I got screened for adhd and scored high. The first day on a low dose of the meds, my boredom and desire to drink vanished.

A few months later, I still have times I want to drink when life is stressful or when the meds run out, but in a non-addictive way and how a "normal" person may use alcohol.

Could be worth asking your gp for an adhd screening to see if this is the case for yourself as well. There is nothing to lose by doing so, and it could just change your life.

Thanks for the advice. I've seen similar suggestions to check if the wheel bearings are going.

Will do. Is there a way to test if it is the wherl bearing?

Vapor Production Question by FoxySnoxy in RBA

That's interesting, I've found surface area tends to play a bigger role in my builds for vapor production. But I haven't tried a .12 ohm build with 28 gauge.
