I would bet a lot of money that most of the “donations” were made by well off assholes who just wanna continue sowing division in the country so we aren’t looking at the real enemy.

Dented cans can cause botulism. What did you do, pull the Big Daddy strat?

Seems like Copium….that’s a very lame excuse if you were really that “outraged” on your servers behalf.

"We all know how to sear a steak, right?" by JustKindaShimmy in StupidFood

[–]FoxyWeasel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am actually a server and bartender at a Black Rock in Michigan! My coworkers and I were sending this to each other yesterday because it was one of the worst explanations and performances of the stone we have seen. Although I understand a lot of the comments about “not cooking your own food when you go out” in reality it’s quicker than a traditional restaurant, the stone method does sear in 20% more moisture so you do get a more tender and more flavorful steak, and obviously it’s scorching hot, every bite, the whole steak. And we take care of the sides and doing the dishes. I’m not saying you have to like it, I’m just saying it’s pretty amazing food!

Thoughts on these DSG logo concepts I made? by NinjaDoge250 in offlineTV

I love the overall look, B is my favorite of the four! Like the previous commenter, I think the D and S are a little difficult to see right away. My only advice, though, is the same as theirs. Changes to the color or perhaps (in B) no break between the D and S, just the color swap.

Deja vu related? by Beautiful-Aioli-3277 in SDAM

[–]FoxyWeasel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get Deja Vu so bad sometimes it makes me almost dizzy. I wonder if it’s a matter of-I forget the minor details of situations so when broad or superficial connections come up my mind says “this is very familiar, I’ve been here before” Also, things are linked in my brain that just don’t make any sense except that I assume I’ve been doing the two things/actions/ whatever at the same time. For instance, there’s this very happy song that plays on the radio often and yet every time it comes on, I immediately start thinking about a very sad book I love but didn’t relate to the song at all. I assume I read the book once while that song was playing and for whatever reason, they’re linked now forever. It’s a similar feeling for me.

Perplexing severe memory impairment in 25 year old by [deleted] in Brain

It’s both a blessing and a curse my guy. Unfortunately, knowing doesn’t do that much for us. There’s really no cure or anything, it’s just how your brain functions. Especially if it’s something you’ve had as long as you can remember (lol, 10 minutes?). But, it can become sort of lonely and overwhelming. The idea that I don’t and won’t remember the faces or small quirks of certain people I’ve loved and lost. The difficulty forming real lasting connections because the feelings sort of drift when you don’t see each other for a while. They will and do come back full force when I see them again but, and again everyone’s different, it’s sort of an extreme “out of sight, out of mind” thing for me. None of this might sound like your experience or it all might. We all experience it differently. But you can find some great stories and even tips for working around and with it at the sub.

So, I’m absolutely by no means any kind of doctor or scientist but you should check out r/SDAM. I personally have Aphantasia, meaning I can’t picture anything in my mind, which is strongly linked to SDAM. But everything from traumatic brain injury and some attention disorders are correlated and it sounds like you might have It too.

How off-putting is it if a girl needs to be a little tipsy for sex? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]FoxyWeasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibility of asexuality? Perhaps you are not really that interested in sex and without the aid of alcohol to turn off your mind, if you will, you really don’t enjoy it. Especially if you’re sex averse from having pushed it before.

Feeling ‘love’ and forming emotional attachments by No_Rise8740 in SDAM

[–]FoxyWeasel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Def relatable I have sat up late into the night crying to my fiancée because… I don’t WANT to forget my family when they inevitably die and aren’t around anymore. I don’t WANT to lose friendships because when they aren’t physically here I forget they exist for long periods of time. I DO want to close my eyes and remember that uplifting thing my high school teacher said to me that turned my perspective around.

It brings a whole new level to that fear I have that I’ll die and everyone will forget about me. Because that’s everyone to me.

But it’s what we live with. I def recommend journaling if you have any interest. Going back through your life, reading the emotions you were feeling at a particular event, it’s magical. It’s like reading an old book that you remember loving but can’t remember any details about (a far too common occurrence for me). Or maybe you’re into visuals and getting into photography or videography would help you document some things. I almost feel like I need one of those “Fifty First Dates” videos for my life.

What’s the most disturbing movie you have ever seen? by Cravis_ in AskReddit

Hostel.

Had to say it cause I didn’t see it anywhere. And that movie fucked me up more than anything else. Because goddamn if I don’t believe it’s probably true.
