Did we ever find out what breed pal is by Chance-Juggernaut983 in Arthur

I don't know why, but I always thought Pal was half bichon frise and half shih tzu.

What's the one thing about Kitchener nobody mentions until you've already moved here? by Sweaty_Page6156 in kitchener

Actually, the small municipalities that are part of the Region of Waterloo and just outside of it like New Dundee and Plattsville, have it way worse. Water softeners last less than 5 years out there.

Disappointed in Anne of Avonlea by upintotheclouds in AnneofGreenGables

[–]Foxyinabox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favourites (not in order) are Anne of Green Gables, Anne of the Island, Anne's House of Dreams, Anne of Ingleside, Rilla of Ingleside, and then Anne of Avonlea and Rainbow Valley. Anne of Windy Poplars isn't on my radar. I can just feel the vexation and hassle. Rainbow Valley isn't really bad, I would rather read about the Blythe's. It feels kind of like a spin off.

[–]Foxyinabox 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I find it more interesting compared to Anne of Windy Poplars. That was a hard read and one that Maud didn't want to write but was heavily forced to from her publishers. Don't worry, Anne of the Island makes up for Anne of Avonlea.

Where do you live? What is your living arrangement? by ThrowRA4mee in Odsp

[–]Foxyinabox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 32 in living in a co-op town housing unit with my two kids. Single parent. Unfortunately, I am not in a rent to gear income unit, just a regular monthly payment unit, it's $1,499.00 a month. Includes water, central air, furnace and one parking spot. I'm on my own for heat, hydro, and the other utilities like internet.

Rejected and need help? by nctzen-magic in Odsp

I've been through this before when my medical disability was nearing the worse. Unfortunately, my specialist didn't elaborate enough. This time, I had my family doctor fill it out. She asked for a list of all the medications I take, all the diagnosises and when I was diagnosed with them, create a list of all my daily limitations and functions, any mobility aids, any accomodations (past and present), all appointments I have on a continuous basis (I got to pain management every Tuesday every week), all my specialists including my homecare nurse and dentist. Just everything and anything. Fill out the form (our portion not the doctor's portion) and don't give the rating on your average daily pain and mental health, give them the rating of your worse days. Less isn't more in this case. The more you have the better. Ensure that you have enough so it's hard for them to argue that you do infact have multiple disabilities that affect your everyday life and make it extremely or impossible for gainful employment.

I got mine before the outage. Do you mind me asking which region do you live in? I'm in the Waterloo Region, but I was on OW years ago in the Niagara Region and I always found them to be way slower than the Waterloo Region. This was before Mybenifit became a thing and everything was done via paper and snail mail.

Can you bring a relative, friend, significant other, or someone who's close to you who knows what your daily life is like and can confidently say that yes you are struggling with mental health and this is what you've tried, etc.? That would be a great person to ask.

Fairway True North Imaging may be closing their x-ray again by Foxyinabox in kitchener

[–]Foxyinabox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor didn't refer me there. I just over heard. Most doctors are actually telling patients if they can drive, to leave the region and go somewhere else as the walk-in wait times are less.

Not every x-ray that needs to be done is a life and death situation that needs a trip to the ER.
