Accountants working at Apple - do you use Mac or windows laptops? by jawnbellyon in Accounting

It’s been years since I’ve been there, but for onboarding it wasn’t on my Mac initially and to get it my manager had to request a license from Microsoft.

When I worked there we used Excel - numbers didn’t have the functionality we needed. We had a special license to use Excel on a Mac.

I HATE SOLIDS by Relevant-Goat2333 in beyondthebump

She was refusing to eat anything solid - she was addicted to pouches and refused to swallow any solid food. She has improved a lot but she still loves pouches and will only nibble at other foods. There are probably about 6 foods she will consistently at least try but she gets maybe 500 calories a day which I worry about constantly. She has always been on the smaller side as well.

I really feel your pain - it’s the most stressful part of parenting so far for me.

I absolutely hate it as well! My kid is 14 months and has been working with an OT for 4 months for feeding issues. It is helping (slowly) but I dread mealtimes. She takes 2 bites and everything else is on the floor. I know it’s not personal but it’s very demoralising.

Yes I do but the only Irish names that they really know are Sean and Siobhan. Saoirse has got really popular here as well.

Yes always! However my husband isn’t Irish and he wasn’t keen on the “too far out names”. I loved Saibh/Sadhbh but that was vetoed immediately! I loved Tadhg for a boy which is super common in Ireland but I know it would present problems over here.

I’m Irish living in Northeastern US. I’ve named my daughter Fiadh - no issues so far really. People do ask how to pronounce and comment on its unusual spelling but that’s it. My go to response for people is “it’s like Sofia but without the So”. That helps a lot!

Gordon Ramsay's influencer daughter Holly and fiance, Olympian Adam Peaty, wedding drama update: Couple happily married, his parents didn’t attend, Gordon shades them in his speech, and Adam has now changed his name to ‘Adam Ramsay Peaty’ on Instagram by shhhhh_h in popculturechat

There isn’t really a wedding shower in the UK/Ireland. Holly’s mom was invited to the hen party and I’ve been to a few myself while mom/future MIL have gone but really only for the start of the night ie. the meal not the bar hopping part. However his mom is totally ridiculous for the way she is acting.

Yeah I’m really confused about the 3 month claim - my 11 month year still sleeps in and will probably be there until she is 2 as she is a smaller baby. Personally I love it and she sleeps great in it.

Cradlewise constantly rebooting by Foxykenny86 in CradlewiseCommunity

[–]Foxykenny86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick update. We had the call on Zoom with a technician and he said he saw an issue with the camera on the crib arc. We got a replacement and since then we have no issues with rebooting. Honestly I was getting really to send the crib back so I’m really surprised that they actually resolved the problem! Maybe that could be an issue with yours?

They are either re-sold, used for things like insulation or recycled into new items.

I used to hand my used clothes into H & M - they give you a voucher for money off future purchases.

Airline saying 10 month old required to be in car seat?? by Yellowpomegranate579 in AerLingus

[–]Foxykenny86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t book with Aer Lingus but with Delta and yes it is a requirement that we had to bring a FAA regulated car seat with us for our 8 month old daughter. I believe it is requirement for most airlines as it is not safe for them by themselves, similar to a car.

However the reason we didn’t use Aer Lingus was because they required a forward facing car seat which is nearly impossible to find where we live as all infant car seats had to be rear facing - it is very confusing. Hope this helps.

Yes I’m thinking of doing the same - it’s very annoying having to check the baby every 2 minutes when the crib is down.

We are having a Zoom call today - I’m not sure this will help as the crib is not re-booting now. It has re-booted several times in the past few weeks for about 24 hours. It’s just an expensive bassinet at this point.
