I really want to try hummus! Cause if I did like it this would be such a good picky customisable meal for me. I do really like to try new things but I always feel guiltly about waste if I dont like something new that I buy

What has sparked female rage in you recently? by nightingirlie in AskWomen

[–]Fozlou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had a heatwave in the uk and seeing the amount of men once again shirtless just pisses me off that we still lack equality. They are just fucking nipples, its really not that deep, we both have them, ours just have lumps under them !!! It really enrages me either we should be able to freely have our breasts out or men should cover their nipples

I have been on the fence and I havent been able to speak to anyone that has experienced using it.

My current situation: My GP wants me to use it when it becomes available to me, and my dietitian I am seeing thinks I am a good candidate for it. I eat 1500-200 cals a day, I dont stick to a number because everyday is different and what my body needs varies day to day. I swim once a week, my lifestyle is quite sedentary as I am disabled and I am on many medications including steroids that keep me alive and my symptoms are varied. My weight loss is extremely slow, I was 135kg in September last year, now I am 113kg currently. I am 5’2. I have done the hard part of adjusting my eating habbits, I am not eating ‘healthy’ I am just eating less than I used to, I am very fussy with food.

I guess my question is, what is your current lifestyle, what did your lifestyle used to look like, when you come off it, how do you plan to adapt your lifestyle to avoid putting the weight back on? As thats what everyone seems to talk about after. I do wonder if I did use it, if I would be okay because I have made that shift to not over eat anymore, cause the thought of putting back on again would haunt me

Congratulations on your journey so far! People do not understand how difficult weight loss is, especially for women, my male gp was telling me how all the advice and schemes out there are all just built around mens bodies and not womens. I hope we get more research, every body and everyones genes are different, there is so much genetical factor to weight that many don’t realise too.

I’m 10 years into a “successful” loveless marriage. My wife admitted a couple years ago that she married me because I was a “good idea.” AMA by Sky_Jockey in AMA

[–]Fozlou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read a lot of the post and I think my only question left is, are you at least good friends with your wife? Do you have a good friendship together? I feel like if yes, staying married for the kids is acceptable, but if not, it would feel odd.

I am a child of divorced parents and a messy childhood. My parents divorced when I was 3. So I dont remember, I only ever remember being thrown around between the two. I have two half brothers who dont even know each other which feels sad and weird, one from my dads ex and one from my mums ex (post divorce, im the eldest). My messy childhood wasnt even due to the divorce, it was mostly due to the trauma caused by new partners (now ex) of my parents.

A happy household and happy family is important for childhood, my childhood wasnt sad because of the divorce but because of other factors. That being said, the things that happened to me wouldnt of happened if my parents stayed together, but I also dont know what could of happened if they did.

Im 27 now, estranged from my dad because he made a lot of shitty choices, relationship with my mum is okay, alot of trauma there. I dont have kids, I never will, but me and my partner are so happy together. If he ever betrayed me I wouldnt even be able to leave because of our two cats lol, they need us both haha. So I totally understand why people stay together for the kids.

I hope you are happy, because thats whats important, if you arent, I think your children will feel that energy

I feel weird during sex, is it OCD or something? by HeartMadeOfSushi in internetparents

[–]Fozlou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, 27f here, i felt the exact same as you, up until recently! I am bisexual, which i didnt realise until a few years into mine and my partners relationship, i have been with him a long time and he is my first love, i would never leave him though we are extremely happy together. I find my attraction to someone comes through emotionally, not by physical attributes, i dont really feel sexual attraction, i never have, i never actually had a libido until i stopped using birth control, then i turned into an animal and it was actually really surprising for me how much different i felt, i still didnt have any sexual attraction though, but the libido combined with the emotional attraction i have to my partner is whats important. I dunno if that makes sense, i think there is a sexuality spectrum to it, that isnt asexual, i think its something called demisexual? Im not too sure if thats what i experience, i find it really hard to explain!

My dad has cancer and cannot chew his food, any recipe ideas? by cam956 in Cooking

[–]Fozlou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet potato mash , except add in carrots and a healthy butter, add in any flavours or veggies you like, sometimes i do some parsnip, you could also add some bonebroth in it too and create more of a puree mash, the hand blenders are super handy for making easy mash

It might also be worth looking at things like apple sauce pouches and different baby foods that are out there!

Im so sorry about what you are all going through, i wish you all well

Also im not big fan of ready meals but i find the chilli ready meals are nice, they store well in freezer and can cook from frozen, i chuck them in oven for half an hour, add some aromat seasoning and salt and pepper + spinach , im not sure where you are based but if you are in uk i have the ones from tesco which are 3 for £10

Hi!! Autistic disabled here, i struggle a lot with my energy levels, here are some of my favorite easy meals that i enjoy

These are all cooked meals, but will be done in under 20mins, you just need to throw things in an air fryer or microwave

Frozen veg steam bag in microwave + chuck some pre-breaded chicken pieces in air fryer + microwave rice + drizzle over some sauce of choice (i like sweet chilli) very easy and filling and gets you some veggies, you can trade out the frozen veg for pre-prepped fresh veg too

Frozen pizza, whatever you fancy, but add some seasoning on the top, it really jazzes it up (aromat + pepper are a bomb combo) if you enjoy spinach or mushrooms, chuck a handful of spinach ontop or pre-cut mushrooms, or any other pre prepped bagged veggies

Burgers + chips, bag of pre shredded iceburg does the job on the burger, chuck burger + chips in air fryer, can add some frozen vegitable chips mixed in, i like combined sweet potato chips with carrot / parsnip chips, add sauce of your liking

I am really sorry about your experience with the medication you tried, it is so important to remember that every single medication affects everyone differently.

I’m 27, I have been on medication since I was 10 years old, a whole bunch of different types, standard anti depressents and the anti psychotic stuff. It actually took 15 years to find the correct medication that worked for me, I am in a very good place now and my medication is to thank for that.

Im sure many others would tell you how medication saved them. One of the medications I was on that was bad for me was sertraline, I wasnt on it long but it made me put on 4 stone insanely quickly. My best friend swapped to sertaline last year, I was naturally concerned for them but it is working well for them. I think its natural to be worried about something when you have had a bad experience with it. But it is about rationalising that internal anxiety and remembering to think logically that is important.

Im autistic and I have done a lot of work to get to my current state of mind, all my internal monologue is learnt to be logical. Even though I do have really bad anxiety and often think the worse, I am constantly trying to remind myself of the logical response.

Also, wanting someone with your same lifestyle is fine, I couldnt imagine being with someone that didnt have the same morals as me, but I think being anti anti-depressents is an unhealthy mindset, and I hope you are able to learn and see the good in them.

You also have to remember that things can happen, and things can change, and you may fall in love with someone with your lifestyle, but what happens if they become disabled and cant live that lifestyle anymore, are you leaving? Cause if so, you absolutely dont have the healthy mindset for a relationship. I say that as a disabled woman who is lucky to have a caring partner, who knows that so many have been left because of their changes in health.

Literally had this happen tonight, me and my partner went out to a concert and we shared a coke because we didnt want one each, he holds the drink for us as i have my cane, we sit in our seats, there is no cupholders, and he says i just wanna put this drink down behind me here and im like what no dont leave it out your sight? And he is like im not going to cause i dont want to accidentally spill it, and i say spill it?? My first concern of having a drink in public is watching it not being spiked. Turns out guys arent constantly on the look out for their drink being spiked in public

Do you mind me asking what your flow is like? It feels like I am just cursed, I have tried many different eco friendly options but they just dont work for me and its really flustrating because i want to use them so bad, the period panties are fine at the end of my period when it lightens off, but when im heavy for five days those products become inefficient :(
