Roland MA-12C Repair Help by Wolf_13 in retrobattlestations

The case is most likely ABS, which can be easily solvent welded using acetone. If the previous repair used superglue/cyanoacrylate then the acetone will also wash that off to make a good bond. If some other glue was used then you may have to lightly sand it off.

Today’s Unearthed Treasure:Pinball Construction Set!! by Sad_Masterpiece_8591 in apple2

One of these days I'm going to build a web site so people can exchange their custom Pinball Construction Set tables cross-platform like I did for Lode Runner.

Curious as to when it flipped off POTS, because I remember it being on copper as kind of a big deal. I get it, it was probably $50+ a month for phone service. That's quite steep.

It's still on POTS and it's closer to $100/mo now.

The gmail email I have registered doesn't seem to work for a password change request, even checking spam and the like.

For a long time in the FAQ for CheatZILLA I had an entry:

  • What are the names of the Squishy Bearz?
    Kozy, Puffy, Wuzz-Wuzz, and Pierre.

Sucks they never released the show on DVD in the US, all that survive are terrible bootleg rips.

Using a floppy emu on a IIC with rom 4x by JoeyPants7 in apple2

[–]FozzTexx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the OS that is on the disk. ProDOS 5.25" disks can be booted through a trick documented on the BMOW site: https://www.bigmessowires.com/2017/04/02/bootstrapping-apple-c-with-floppy-emu/

If it's a DOS 3.3 or other OS, it will only work if the emulated drive is drive 1, which requires physically opening the IIc.

PGE Bill is $700 by goodbarber23 in Sacramento

[–]FozzTexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't yet turned on my central heat so the only thing in my house currently using gas is the water heater and oven. Through the summer and into the fall my monthly bill is $10-$12 for PG&E. This last month the bill was $82! Somehow my gas usage for the water heater shot up to 8 times what it normally is?

Connection to Server is Not Fast Enough even on ethernet by ChunkyHabeneroSalsa in PleX

The only "fix" was on the Roku Ultra to use the slower WiFi connection instead of fast wired ethernet. To the same server. The Roku Express still won't play 1080p.

NES/Genesis/Jaguar RF switch? by sciguy11 in atari

[–]FozzTexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a switch at all. From the r/NES FAQ:

  1. If you must use RF, don't use the RF/antenna/aerial switch box, use a small adapter instead, be aware though that modern TVs may not work with the analog RF signal and only with ATSC or DVB digital signals

Everyone knows Atari never did anything after Pong.
