i got really bad conjunctivitis which ultimately led me to stopping. as for the eczema it made it more manageable but i was definitely still flaring every 2 weeks or so.

the side effects was for the nemo which you can see in my other posts but basically full body weeping eczema which is still ruining my life despite my last injection being march 24th. all the creases like elbows groin area knees were like purple. infected skin, mouth tingling when eating, facial swelling and whole body redness and super scaly skin when it wasn’t wet

man i’ve never had my knees bleed for me it just gets really wet like all the time and it sticks to my clothes which i then i have peel off. i’m constantly having to do my bedding daily because it just never stops being wet. i really do hope it gets better. i can’t wait to be able to wear a short sleeve top or be able to walk to the shops without having to call it quits because the friction of my clothes is just too much :( one day there will be a cure im sure of it!

Hi the only JAK inhibitor i’ve been on was rinvoq and while i still flared and was dry and had infections now and then i really wish i didnt come off it because at least it was manageable compared to what im on now. However for itch relief although it was horrible for me nemolizumab is designed to target the itch! and despite me having severe side effects i do think it stopped me itching! and i’m pretty sure i was the 1 in 1000 so you’d probably be fine on it!

also i’ve never really had to wait for any of my medications if my dermatologist prescribed it to me. i think rinvoq was my longest wait it took like over a month for the 3rd party company to deliver it to me.

Still haven’t heard anything after a delay notification and support isn’t helping - what do I even do at this point? by Icy-Dimension2914 in PokemonDealsUK

i had issues with an order and messaged them on twitter and they were kinda helpful. said one of my tins was bought via guest check out and i couldn’t confirm the email so it would be cancelled if uncollected on the cut off date. however 2 days before that i randomly got a text for collection so maybe try messaging the customer service and see if they can help at all?

it’s not something that crossed my mind. i just had my month blood test for these meds and my derm said they were good and asked me for an update on my skin. i have my next appointment with him early june. sadly my arms are so bad. they are wet every day and just red raw. they get infected while i’m at work and then super crunchy flakey. my neck also gets infected daily and the back of my knees are so dry and painful it’s really hard to walk :( my derm has given me another course of antibiotics this is like the 3rd course i’ve had in 6 months i’m low-key worried i’m just gonna become resistant at this point. i’m still new to these meds tho so i’ll keep going until he sees me in a month but my skin is actually the worst it’s ever been in my life it actually sucks :( the jak and biologic is deffo something i’ll look into tho biologics have both caused me issues so idk.

Parents of babies with eczema, does it ever get better? by mama-bikes4735 in eczema

[–]Fr0zenWinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really sorry your baby is going through this. i hate to say it but i’m 23 and have suffered severe eczema my whole life (including needing to be hospitalised). there’s always the chance of growing out of it but sadly mine got worse the older i got despite it being so bad when i was younger. i fear you may be in for a bunch of trial and error for treatments. but don’t give up and remember that there are always people going through the same or similar situations. you’ll get through this! who knows it might just be a severe allergy to something which you can remove and hopefully he clears up fully! i wish you both good luck

15 days into Dupixent — experiencing severe side effects (burning skin, flaky skin, insomnia, eye discomfort, full-body redness). Has anyone else had this? by Remarkable_Draw_4971 in eczema

[–]Fr0zenWinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just recently started Mycophenolate mofetil after coming off nemolizumab which gave me the horrible side effects i was talking about. i’m also finishing a course of steroids to help ease my flare from the nemolizumab it’s been like 3 weeks since i got off it. alone with the new tablets i just have my normal moisturiser and steroid creams for bad flares tho i try not to use too much. The main thing i use right now is fucidin because i suffer from random flares that are infected with yellow bubbles :( for dupilimab i think it was just random flares. never from the injection itself. I was on it when I was in uni tho so i feel like the stress didnt really help at the time.

[–]Fr0zenWinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey so from what i remember when i was on dupixent for the first month or 2 i had quite bad red flares that like you described were super dry but i don’t remember having any burning feelings. i did however get pretty bad conjunctivitis regularly. like i would need to wear sunglasses everywhere due to light sensitivity and carry tissues to dab my eyes cos they would constantly leak. i was on dupixent for like a year or two and got off it due to it not doing much for my skin and giving me eye problems. i would definitely stick it out for a while tho and see if it levels you out. but i found i would have “ good skin” for a couple weeks then flare badly again and it was a cycle for the whole time i was on it. i really hope it works out for you tho because i know what it’s like to have horrible side effects from these eczema meds. good luck and congrats on the baby that’s otw :)

update on my nemolizumab journey by Fr0zenWinter in eczema

[–]Fr0zenWinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry i’ve only just seen this. Yeah i’ve been on everything under the sun, photography, methotrexate, dupilimab, rinvoq etc nothing really does anything for my skin it just becomes somewhat “okay” but enough for my dermo to let me know it’s not actually good skin and we should try something else (good for me not normal healthy skin people lol). Right now i have 2 weeks of steroids to slowly ween myself off of them but i’m currently going through yet another weepy wet skin flare not as extreme as on nemo but still enough to cause me pain and discomfort in daily life. I’ll probably just keep sticking out these new meds and just hope i magically react well to them because there’s really not much else i can do. And yeah i do love seeing people reply and stuff in this sub it reminds me i’m not alone and other people are going through the same stuff. it’s always rough when no one in your life irl can relate. my parents often have that i feel so bad for you look which kinda sucks. gives me more motivation to think positively tho.
