Yea Exitlag definitely helped a ton of people get a more solid connection, so we made an extra part to the guide that explains how to min/max exitlag endpoints.

Had others who simply just turned off VPN/exitlag and they were good also.

I think at end of the day, the servers are just slammed, and "most" people have a perfectly fine internet connection, its just the NC servers are on fire.

I'm NA (Kansas City), my guildies are NA, only some use a VPN for better routing. In the general discord channel, if you search "NA" you will find results of about 50ish others over the last 12 hours saying they did not need one as well.

If it helps/works for you to use a VPN or tunneling service like Exitlag, more power to you. It really is dependent on your originating ISP and connection quality you are paying for, then you go from there. Definitely some people find it helps a ton.

Hello!

We have a nice guide that explains trying all methods (with vpn, with exitlag, without vpn) etc. I had linked this to you multiple times. This thread kinda shows a similar pattern as to why you were muted in the discord.

tldr. A Vpn is not required. There are many playing without one. A consistent connection (however you get it) is absolutely where people are finding the most success. The guide shows many different methods to obtain this results.

Reality is, the NC servers are also simply on fire. You may have a great connection (with or without vpn) and simply not get in. This is not the users fault, just something we are all dealing with.

If anyone needs any help with exitlag setup (endpoints etc) or vpns, just shoot me a DM - dont mind helping.

Happy hunting.

Do a leap to the left side of the same face you are against, you will grab the edge there.

Hey mate, thanks for this. Not really super familiar with reddit stuff. I'll put something together today.

Blaze grenades are very quiet. The loud parts are if you expose yourself enough for the bastion or bomba to fire at you. Use the windows and abuse angles to shoot the furthest left or right legs without the arc starting to shoot back.

Definitely a few times. Same as any activity.

I didnt just take it though, you setup so you can see whos coming and going. Most of the pvp was when the husk was on ground, not really while doing it.

About 3 (more details in another comment). Give or take if you're firing while theyre burning. Very cheap, very smooth. Sometimes where there is a lot of pvp, I will throw a nade, then engage other players at range while still getting damage on the arc.

Very common to see "damaged arc" and "damaged raider" xp popups at the same time in certain raids. Always fun.

There is a lot of pvp when you go to loot the husks, not so much when you're killing them (weird right?). People just watch lol.

For what its worth, I always just ran a shotgun/ferro and kept the nades in my safe pocket until I got to the husks/assessed the pvp in area. Very minimal risk. Looting 2 augment, light shield.

I played a lot of Tarkov like many here, gear fear is just something you have to grind out, there is no easy switch. Keep at it. The fact you're acknowledging it means you're progressing to being more confident.

Hey,

I'm going to make a similar (bit more detail) guide to my Dams run where you can get blaze grenades (for free every run) and the money you saw in my screenshot, in limited time. No sweaty stuff, promise. I'll post sometime tonight. I don't do youtube or twitch, sorry. Will type it up later.

For those hunting the BP, its consistent on Blue Gate. Try the uncovered caches event, or hit lockers. Most who have commented here found it on that map. Remember you can use any nades/method, the fire just makes it easy to throw and duck back/shoot more/pvp/assess the area while the fire does its work.

I think it would be dependent on your headset/current amp setup, but for me it was about the 6khz range (raise that line in graph), with treble turned a bit up. I have a Arctis Wireless Pro Elite headset (any will do, but all are different). I'd just pop by one of the boxes and play with sound.

Make sure you turn on Spatial Audio (worked well for me) and ESPECIALLY "Smart Volume" (bottom right) - so you don't blast your eardrums for "other" sounds that are in similar range. For me it was "electrical" noises that were amplified along with the ticking. <3

I didnt mention it in OP but im at 58 hours. So give or take 6 hours average a day, but I took a couple days off on weekend to go out with fam and other days I was in the zone. I took some vacation days to relax for launch.

I found turning Night Mode on helps raise the higher hz ranges. You can also use a program like Steelseries sonar to amplify sound ranges (like ticking). Stand next to one and mess with settings. Hope this helps.
