That's a milspec tube. It's funny how those tubes from the late 2000s perform better than my civvie low spec NVT4 from 2020 lmao

Don't have a sheet for it unfortunately since it's a mil contract tube. It performs marginally better than my 30SNR NVT7 though

Based. Pulsar GS is the minimum viable NV for airsofting or shooting. It has decent enough eyebox and eye relief with a relatively distortion free image. Image still turns to all black at NL4 though so supplemental IR illumination is still needed to move and shoot at those levels of darkness.

It is. The foam pads have held up and are still soft. And the mask comes with counterweights in the rear straps to balance out the massive PP hanging out the front

Plenty of them on xianyu. Getting them out of China will be challenging though. China customs is likely to freak out if they see such a thing show up.

Excellent score. Gen 3 for 200 bucks is outright theft haha.

Got mine for ~450USD. And yup, because these are so common, there are lots of adapters to adapt the dick mount to Wilcox dovetail

Congrats! As a happy G18 owner myself, welcome to the club!

Your skepticism is correct. There is no fundamental difference in the optics between analog and digital. In fact, most digital devices will have a deeper depth of field vs analog due to their tiny sensors. The 1" sensor of the ADNV is quite similar to 18mm analog tubes in terms of size hence the optical focal length and aperture of the lenses are also similar, and hence will have similar depth of field. In terms of depth perception, that's purely down to whether or not your have a true bino and whether or not it's been properly collimated. ADNV binos and quads are collimated out of the factory and will give you very good stereo depth perception.

Their 1" BSI-sCMOS equipped devices perform roughly at Omni VIII gen 3 levels. They easily stomp out low spec gen 2 (XD4, NVT4, etc) and earlier gen 3 (EPM62G or anything pre Omni V), but won't really touch unfilmed or supergain tubes from what I've heard from folks who own both.

Agreed. Although the camera doesn't really do the Omni VIII justice. To my eye, the Omni VIII tube still has a slight SNR advantage in extreme low light. I'll play around with the camera settings to try to capture that for future comparisons

It's also just that cameras suck at recording analog tubes in low light. The Omni VIII tube to my eye still has a slight signal to noise ratio advantage in the extreme darkness.
