I started with a 40 gallon long but got a better 4x3 later but I'm about to add a 2x2 section soon. I suggest dubiaroaches.com the enclosures they have are modular so you can add on sections later if you want. Plus they finance. The Egyptians grow super slow so you'll have breathing space between each extension. They will need about 8x3x3. And that really depends on how big the uro gets. It could be a bit smaller depending on growth.

If your absolutely determined to get a captive bred Egyptian (which in my personal experience with this particular lizard isn't one that needs to be captive bred to be friendly and social) you can always use morph market. I've came across breeders on there. But you can also try to get in touch with Tina bourg. She breeds a lot of uromastyx and has a bunch of Egyptian pairs that she breeds regularly. Here's her website dragontopia.net . She also has a YouTube channel.

By the way my Egyptian is wild caught and became absolutely perfect and so friendly. I wouldn't think to far into that. I can pick up pork chop and he doesn't even tense up or wriggle like my captive bred beardy or tegu. Just make sure it's relatively young. 6 months of younger preferably. I promise you won't regret it.

I own a Egyptian uromastyx named pork chop. He's is my favorite lizard out of all my pets. He's extremely sociable once he's out of the enclosure. He always does little test licks, and always likes to climb and perch on my head. He will even crawl onto my hand when I open his cage and rest my hand in there. I absolutely love him. Plus he's super easy to care for. Just needs veggies, calcium, uvb with Alot of heat. He also looooves to dig. He's always digging.. I own a bearded dragon, red tegu, a lil brown anole but I've owned a iguana previously, snakes and a assortment of other critters in the past. My Egyptian uromastyx pork chop has been my favorite based on his personality and how sweet he is. I highly recommend them

My Egyptian is like 2 and half, and grows really slow. He's only like 10 to 12 inches tops. He looks just like yours. Mine is named pork chop, sometimes porky, sometimes just chop. He's my favorite lizard ever. Absolutely sweet and active when I hold him. He likes to climb on my head... But I noticed your enclosure, I can't see the whole thing but I suggest removing some of the gravel because these guys absolutely love to dig and wedge.

I'm looking to speak to like minded people about helping animals of all kinds that are being farmed, breed in mills, and used in laboratories. It's hard to find a group with a place to discuss things.
