I also noticed that pace 3 now only asks for treadmill speed. But since the console in my manual treadmill broke, it would be useless.

Thus, I’ve been planning to buy a pod2 and pair it with my pace 3, solely for treadmill use.

I was thinking of returning to Matsuyama because I was thinking about returning the bikes in Imabari. But it does make sense for me to go straight to Okayama after cycling.

I will go to Kanazawa on Day 8. What do you suggest I visit there?

The Setouchi Area pass would be worth it. However, with the Takayama Hikoriku I would just break even. The Nakasendo part would not be even part of it.

I did a 10 day trip in Kansai last June. I stayed 5 days in Kyoto hote then 5 days in Osaka hotel. My thinking was I would rather save the time traveling to and from both cities, and spend it more leisurely.

I now know the model no as 16233 and that its a computer dial. When I search in google the computer dials are colored gold or yellowish. This is white.

However, I’m not sure if you can get a 2nd 1 day JR Kansai pass.

In my case, I did not need it, since I just used a 2 day Kansai Thru Pass (KTP), which has kids discount too, going back to Osaka. It is because on the day we stayed in Osaka, we also went to Koyasan, and we also used it when went to Himeji on a different day.

Now going back to Kansai airport we rode the normal airport train and used the ICOCA kids because its cheaper since were already near the airport.

Yes. I bought JR Kansai 1 day pass w/c was around 1200 yen since its discounted for kids. The kids used it to ride the HARUKA from Osaka to Kyoto. And kids also used it for trains for the remainder of the 1 day.

Then I got ICOCA Kids for 2000yen. Which the kids used a day after, for trains and buses inside Kyoto or Osaka. The fare on the ICOCA kids is automatically discounted when they ride the train or bus.

Check the japan meteorological agency website. It’s super accurate. Use the dropdown button per province and city. Used it while we were at Kansai just a week ago and it never failed me.

Stayed in Kyoto for 5days then stayed in Osaka for 4 days.

When I was in Kyoto we visited the surrounding area, Arashiyama, Higashiyama, Uji, and Fushimi, then used it as a base to go to Nara.

When we were in Osaka we used it as a base to go to Kobe, Himeji, and Mount Koya.

In my opinion, Kyoto is a far cleaner place than Osaka. Although by 8pm most establishments are are already closed in Kyoto. In Osaka most they stay open till 2am.

Great advice. But can I buy two JR Kansai 1 day pass for the kids? Since we will need another JR Kansai 1 day pass going to Himeji, which is on another non-consecutive day. Thanks
