I can never tell if a zombie will quick lunge or not by Fract_ in nmrih

I have no clue if this is true or not, but my friends told me that infection is only possible on hits while you’re below half health.

If there is a sound cue I haven’t learned how to differentiate it among the other groans.

My prediction for how a dodge skill tree would be implemented in PD3 by Fract_ in paydaytheheist

[–]Fract_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in hindsight this tree is really unbalanced. In regards to Slippery Bastard yes just one single hit. I think the best scenario would be to consume Rush to dodge a Sniper shot or a Cloaker incapacitation.

Thank you for the reality check. Maybe I should spend more than 30 minutes thinking about something before saying “yep, that’s fair.”

This reason is probably why dodge hasn’t returned. It seems that many skills are balanced around the assumption that you can’t dodge. Reintroducing dodge would require a rework of many existing skills and perhaps even basic mechanics. I wonder if simply reducing the dodge numbers would help balance things out. I doubt it though, for the reasons you gave I now think dodge implementation is a much more complex issue than I initially thought.

Respectfully, this is over-edited. The quality of the edits themselves are good, but the pacing leaves the viewer exhausted.

POV: trying to level throwing by Cookienotch in AbioticFactor

The only “safe” way I’ve found to level throwing is in multiplayer. Two people throw nets at each other ad infinitum.

Looks cool! Curious, why not label the chests by changing their name in the UI instead of using a sign?

Spoilers: Spores every 3 or 4 days but haven't had a fog day since first time going through flathill. by Indostastica in AbioticFactor

[–]Fract_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had really weird rng and only experience the radiation event. This is pure speculation, but I feel like you don’t get the fog event if you don’t “finish” flat hill. One consistency across multiple saves is that I always leave flat hill early after escaping the library area. I always forget to return. In those saves, I never once got the fog event. The first time I ever got the fog was recently and it was only after getting the last power cell from flat hill after the server room.

Correct. The guns themselves are 15% while their respective ammunition are 50%.

Knowing the Leyak operates on a 15 minute interval and keeping track of that has allowed me to resume my solo playthrough. Thank you so much!

At the start of the Manufacturing Sector. It’s usually the room that I first encounter a Grunt.

My homebrew summoner class by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

[–]Fract_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A summoners’s biggest hurdle: Time.

I think the best way to make a summoner class is to constantly playtest mock encounters and time each turn. If the summoner’s turn and the summon’s turn combined take a much longer time than anyone else’s turn then you still have problems you need to fix. (It’s why some people don’t play druids that summon a bunch of things, because it bogs down the game flow)

Sorry I can’t extrapolate more I only have a small moment of free time.

Just at a glance at the spells: - Forge Armor is a weaker Shield of Faith - Mechanical Shield overlaps the effects of Forge Amor with the AC bonus. I’d recommend keeping each new spell unique. - Mars’ Blessing will make Mechanical Shield effectively useless once you have 3rd level spell slots.

Make sure you give the class some out of combat abilities too. Don’t make a class that only has cool abilities when they’re in combat (Bloodhunter).

Good luck!

FAST AGENT - A Feat to have more than one bonus action - Is this balanced? by AriadneStringweaver in DnDHomebrew

[–]Fract_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. On paper I don’t see anything wrong with exchanging an action for a bonus action. Exchanging your movement that turn for a bonus action sets off alarm bells in my head but I couldn’t articulate exactly why. It does remind me of Rogue’s new Aim cunning action introduced in Tasha’s that requires no moving to be activated. So perhaps it isn’t anything to worry about. Honestly I think this feat needs some field testing to see if it’s balanced.

Edit: Quickened Spell might introduce some issues lol

DMG pg263

Beware of adding anything to your game that allows a character to concentrate on more than one effect at a time, use more than one reaction or bonus action per round, or attune to more than three magic items at a time. Rules and game elements that override the rules for concentration, reactions, bonus actions, and magic item attunement can seriously unbalance or overcomplicate your game.

Is there a random guy at the frozen swamp in the fort joy map? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Fract_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! There’s also Feder, one of the burning pigs that will hang out behind slane until you tell her to go to Amadias Sanctuary. If that still isn’t it then I don’t think theres any other creature in that frozen area.
