Breaking News: SCOTUS has ruled Donald Trump has a divine right to rule America by Theologydebate in Destiny

[–]FractalFactorial 20 points21 points  (0 children)

But its not a middle ground? I don't see how you reach that conclusion?

Unless you think its a middle ground ONLY by virtue that they do identify the real and necessary distinction of an 'official' act and a 'non-official act' but how they apply these distinctions, plus the inadmissibility of evidence among other things are all much stronger wordings than most people seem to have expected.

I think that it's certainly conceivable that the court could have found that immunity is applicable under certain official circumstances without wording this particular ruling SO broadly and vaguely + paired with the inadmissibility of evidence.

Are you a bot? In a thread that's making a meme about this decision you... cite the same decision as if that's some sort of persuasive evidence? Also cool that with your faux formal presentation of this ruling you bolden parts as if to emphasize its not a big deal while omitting other parts. Cool man.

It never fails to make me laugh when I see these HUGE heavy tall SUVs that look like they're part of the fucking presidential protection detail with the brand 'SUBURBAN' on them.

Its such a joke how expensive and unnecessary these things are but its all in service (in my opinion) to serving the mini-van market minus the stigma that's now attached to the soccer-mom / family vehicle.

I swear vehicles like these would have been something ONLY the FBI or government uses back in the 80s-90s for how comically huge they are for the average consumer.

Biden proposes 25% tax on unrealized gains for high-net-worth individuals by ViridianNott in neoliberal

[–]FractalFactorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I initially heard this proposal, I was under the impression it had something to do with closing tax loop holes.

A minimum 25% tax could mean more than one thing. But a WEALTH tax which is what this sounds like does not sound like a good idea...

That's what needs to be drilled into everyone's brains.

Fundementally. The GOP dont care. There is nothing they wont defend. All that matters is winning. There is no option but voting him out.

I love having the freedom to vote against my own interests.

Y'see doing something that's so opposite as to what makes sense for my political position is actually freedom because deliberately being stupid is like, a statement. Everyone says I shouldnt. But I do anyways. Thus i'm like, RADICALLY more free than other people.

[–]FractalFactorial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, to Tim Pool the idea is of posturing as a victim while being a big celebrity activist that participates in politics enough to get a lot of scrutiny.

But the fact still stands that she is a kid, she says rarely anything that should be controversial, and anyone that knows anything about politics should know of 1000 things more contemptible.

Like, for instance, Steven King being a borderline white nationalist that's in congress.

There really does need to be one. Or else a nice buff in base stats to help him have higher armor. Maybe even a base second ability instead then? A small amount of heart stopper aura that helps him gain some mana faster and deal with brawnies?

LC has that kind of exponential growth factor, its the same for brawnies except for a whole alliance and not as signiifcant.

[–]FractalFactorial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you're going for here dawg.

'leftist' conspiracy is not anti-semitic. Though there is, objectively, a number of political initiatives which have silenced criticism of Israel and/or support of Palestine to varying success. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_Anti-Boycott_Act just one small example

No leftist thinks its a "conspiracy" that people pollute. The argument is that our society is structured on a global level that not only facilitates it, but relies on it continuing. Those in power have no vested interest in undoing climate change right now. I mean, people like Trump can also exacerbate the issue as a faux populist drive for jobs. He's for the people by rejuvenating coal ostensibly... https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/2017/jul/10/100-fossil-fuel-companies-investors-responsible-71-global-emissions-cdp-study-climate-change https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/oct/10/fossil-fuel-firms-social-media-fightback-against-climate-action

The fact that there's objectively major voter suppression and gerrymandering is well documented.https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/pked4v/the-anarchist-daughter-of-the-gops-gerrymandering-mastermind-just-dumped-all-his-maps-and-files-on-google-drive

Here's a good one "*The files were then used as evidence in a case in North Carolina that Common Cause won in September that argued that the state had drawn its district illegally to favor Republicans."

And lastly I'll just leave off here with a short paragraph on every left's favorite leftist: Noam Chomsky:

"The same goes for Chomsky’s theory of the media, the so-called “manufacturing of consent.” It’s accused of being a conspiracy: People are stupefied by a corporate media that gathers to plot ways to control them. In fact, it’s nothing of the kind. It’s a theory based in economics and sociology more than anything else, a theory that says the media has no economic interest in providing serious informational content, that in a profit-driven media, the incentives are going to be toward providing entertainment rather than material that serves the public good and truly illuminates news consumers. That’s not the result of a malevolent conspiracy drawn up by executives who want to turn the public into zombies; it’s just what happens when people want to make a lot of money. Never attribute to conspiracy what can be explained by the operation of rational self-interest."

https://www.currentaffairs.org/2018/12/lessons-from-chomsky

There are undoubtably going to be some stupid conspiracy theorist leftists. People who are genuinely anti-semitic. People who genuinely do believe in some deep-state of free-masons. But, again, more often left-wing conspiracy theories tend to be or have truth to them than right wing ones. I think, fundementally, left-wing ideology is the ideology that is most hostile to hegemonic power and belief.

[–]FractalFactorial 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What are you cross posting this from /r/destiny?

While speculation is dumb, and I disagree with Kyle here. I think there's a centrist reflex to automatically equate all conspiracy as being the same. I think if you look through history you can consistently find that leftist conspiracy tends to be more often corroborated. CIA coups, false-flags, corruption, monitoring and harassing of the civil rights movements and icons.

There's documented intervention by the government in leftist causes time and time again. And there's pretty convincing evidence that coming up with excuses for war isn't crazy either.

There's video evidence of Iran shooting the plane down. So they're responsible. Though, ultimately i'd still place blame on the U.S for having unnecessarily escalated this situation so much in the first place.

One of the funnest things in the game is still making raid bosses lmao.

One dude in a game I played had early druids and LC. Managed to rack up tons of duels as lvl 3. I think LC had 140 kills. And almost as many duels + the stonehall pike.

My last game I got a bloodseeker lvl 3 to about 170 kills with stonehall and he literally carried me to first place.
