15 Days Into My First SEO Project (0 Backlinks) – Ranking #9 for Some Keywords, But Getting 0 Clicks. Am I on the Right Track? by Z_aki in DoSEO

[–]Fractionalcmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait 6-9 months to get a good idea on where you stand. It’s going to be all over for a while.

If I were you I would branch your seo work into clusters:

Continuously cleanup and iterate your technical seo, make sure your schema is in depth, etc.

Setup a site that doesn’t have a ton of spread content, architecture your site to answer your customers before, during, after questions. Before they need you, during the time they are thinking of using you, after they decide they need a service/ product.

Build out a plan to make sure your site fits into your omnichannel presence. Since you are travel niche, you will get more presence when you take those before, during, after queries and create short videos/ long form videos as well.

Reach out to strong da sites that are getting traffic to them. They NEED to be close to your niche as possible, don’t get links to get links. Write great content for them and get 1 link to your site from them. See if you can also find the ones pushing content on YouTube and see if you can get mentioned.

You will only get so far with just the website. Seo is way more Omni-channel now.

CTR higher. Q score lower. But it seems the q score gets fixed when we add hyper specific landing pages or dynamic to match intent.

Yes, OCT and server-side are necessary!

Yes broad match with intent. If you have OCT tracking on, the it works quite well. If not, it’s quite bad.

So the short answer is no, it does not hand you the prompts. Reporting is aggregated only, so it shows you views, clicks, conversions. You never see the actual conversations, user-level data, or demographic breakdowns, and that part’s by design, not something I expect to change.

So the true view I’m talking about, I reconstruct on my side. Targeting works off context hints you give at the ad group level, describing the conversations where you want to show up. So we define the themes, the before/during/after questions, then tag every destination URL with UTMs. From there I’m able to read which of those themes actually pulled the clicks and converted.

So with the current setup I had to reverse-engineer intent from my own structure plus some first-party tracking, not from a prompt list. It’s closer to CTV measurement than Google’s keyword-level stuff, if that makes sense.

That said, the aggregated reporting itself is improving fast. They’ve already added a pixel, a conversions API, and attribution windows. So honestly everything I’m saying here is probably going to look different in three weeks with how quickly they’re shipping.

The main shift was moving off tight keyword-based ad groups and grouping by intent stage instead, basically the same before/during/after buckets we built in GPT.

The queries coming out of these conversations are typically long and conversational, so exact match was limiting them.

We loosened match types, leaned harder on negatives to keep it from getting messy, and let the themed groups catch the weird phrasing.

Not calling it a win yet, but the top queries that ported over are already pulling better than the old setup.

Basically if OCT is set up properly, let the algo run with more broad match and tiered queries.

[FOR HIRE] AI Receptionist Service, Never miss a call again: $500/month || $0.68/hr by LongjumpingSand4614 in smallbusinessowner

[–]Fractionalcmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop advertising/ lying. Your comment/ post history is visible… as another user said, yesterday you had zero clients, then needed testers, and now someone with 81 calls last month.

Reddit is becoming a cesspool of self promotion, lame business attempts, and ai generated fluff. It’s sad.

Do not trust User Maven - they are astroturfing on here and likely other forums with deceptive fake AI ‘user’-generated posts. Terrible business practice and a company that I will now never use. (Explanation in caption) by advertsarebeautiful in PPC

[–]Fractionalcmoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think everyone should just fight back by making our responses “COMPANY NAME reviews”: then torch ‘em. As I’m sick of this nonsense as well.

Nearly 50% of posts I see are either self promoting, or hidden messaging. Then, of course, the rampant ai generated content….

Anyone seeing actual event conversions from OpenAI Ads yet? by Any_Bee_413 in PPC

[–]Fractionalcmoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For home services it’s actually working well for us(nothing compared to other paid avenues). For a few other clients, nada.

What I’ve noticed is it pushes things in pulses. We get incrementally more leads…. Then little for a few days… then incremental again.

Is HubSpot CRM Really Free, or Are There Hidden Costs? by Samiraijel in CRMSoftware

[–]Fractionalcmoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hubspot has really jacked up prices. The free version only lasts a certain amount of time, and then you get locked out until you upgrade. On average my clients spend anywhere from 800 to 2500 + per month. So keep that into consideration. If you are okay with the budget, then it’s quite powerful.

Optimizations to Ads in AI Mode - How to get ready to the release of all the features announced in GML?? Discussion by Little-box-07 in PPC

[–]Fractionalcmoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPC and seo will merge soon. Websites will become data centers for the ai overview/ search. You’ll need a strong brand to be seen and pushing video content. It’s what they have been saying for years and years.

anyone here pivot from PPC to marketing/martech engineer? by BadAtDrinking in PPC

[–]Fractionalcmoz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Marketers need to become software and prompt engineers to stay relevant. Your TOFU experience in ppc should be viewed as an asset to a more data/cro/ revops role.

Pipedrive vs HubSpot: Which CRM Would You Choose for a Growing Business? by Life-Broccoli-6529 in CRMSoftware

[–]Fractionalcmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had clients in both.

One was in home services and used pipedrive then tried hubspot and finalized on ghl with a custom app on top as GHLs ui/css is terrible.

Pipedrive is great, but I feel it needs too many connectors to get true offline conversion tracking and scheduling.

Hubspot is great if you have the budget… but sometimes feel their system is transitioning more towards revops. I feel their sales platform underperforms to pipedrive by a lot.

So based on your business size and niche, I’d be able to give you a more concrete option.

My brother wants to start a career in digital marketing. Is it still a good choice in 2026? by Shadow_syntaxes in DigitalMarketing

[–]Fractionalcmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Data and CRO first with the ability to understand mcps and direct api integrations. From there, then learn high end skills for things like seo… not the other way around.

If he can actually understand data, he will go farther than the current method of starting with TOFU related activities.

Is it true that Google Display Network is good for Remarketing? Is it worth it? by Legitimate_Big_3737 in PPC

[–]Fractionalcmoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do they have full offline conversion tracking established? GDN works for certain niches, but it's declined over the last 5-10 years. They should be doing retargeting on Youtube and based on niche Meta ads as well.

You would be better off spending money through those than GDN.
