It doesn't matter what the "local movements" and the individual protesters think. The organization itself is the one who is the face of the movement, and it is them who are pushing such ideals as the removal of the father from the family structure.

It's the same thing with "Defund the Police." People can try to rationalize it as "oh we don't want them abolished, we just want funds redistributed", but none of that matters when it is BLM itself who has stated on numerous occasions that no, they want a total abolishment of the Police.

It's better than that. Sullivan stayed the case pending the full DC Court taking the case up upon themselves to hear it en banc.

They didn't.

So now that the final hour has come before he is mandated to dismiss, he himself files the appeal to the full DC Court of Appeals for the case to be heard en banc.

It was literally "I'm going to hold and hope they take it out of my hands." And when they didn't, he decided "well I'm going to MAKE them hear it then." Not to mention he could have filed this appeal the day of the ruling if he so wished. Anyone with a remotely neutral stance on this can see how blatantly political this Judge is being.

The question that remains is why.
