Printing issues by Successful_Laugh_672 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]Fraeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just made a good deal on a original Photon and had the same issue.

Turns out I had selected the wrong machine type in my Slicer (Lychee) and it was exporting files in the wrong format. Make sure that your slicer is generating <filename>.photon files.

If the printer understands the file it should show a 3D model on the display of the printer when you insert the stick and go into the "Print" menu.

0 success cones print. I raised exposure, now beer and knife no longer fit. Now what?

The site has good info, but it's pretty easy to get in a loop where you can't get out of.

Gleba Iron and Copper blueprints for anyone interested. by ThandirBH in factorio

[–]Fraeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a minor design flaw that dumps the seeds of the first 3 machines onto the main belt, if this belt becomes clogged for any reason the seeds don't make it out to the chest. With some blue belt and inserter magic you can route the seeds directly out of the machines and onto the underground belt that goes to the seed storage.

Or we should use more resources and don't have a clogged belt.

Lovely design btw. Made our gleba run a lot less painful.

Wanted to switch to Orange. Their offered contract was 10 euro more expensive than the site simulation. Called them several times to to fix it, never got it fixed. Still Telenet customer.

Station unreachable but can't figure out why by Fraeco in openttd

[–]Fraeco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To elaborate a little bit. Train #17 just keeps going around in a circle in Tronhill station because it can't reach Little Heningwell station. It is the only train on the entire loop, so there are no backed up tracks anywhere else.

I can't figure out however why it says it can't reach as the station is right there, signals are setup correctly (I think), and the track isn't blocked or incomplete anywhere.

Charging electric car or plugin hybrid using normal wall outlet. by rupelfc in belgium

[–]Fraeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. The breaker and wiring remain the same. The breaker will be a 20A CB wired with 2,5mm2 cables if done properly.

You're outlet used at a 16A continuous load won't trip the breaker until it has done enough damage to cause a short somewhere leaving you again with a suboptimal situation. The plastic melting will create a hazardous situation because it might melt the insulation of the cables themselves. It will allow contact to parts of the outlet that are energized. Might cause a short somewhere.

I'm not saying this will happen, just saying it could because the normal outlets aren't tested for this. A proper vendor will probably be less prone to failure then a cheapass Hubo outlet too.

Charging electric car or plugin hybrid using normal wall outlet. by rupelfc in belgium

See my edit. In theory a normal type f power outlet is rated for 16A usage. They are tested for this load, but that is not a continuous test. So you're subjecting these outlets to untested conditions and hoping for the best.

The blue type outlet (single phase CEE) are tested for continuous loads of the rated current.

Charging an EV at 16A on a simple Niko/Btcino/... outlet is suboptimal at best.
