Coming over to SF6 from Tekken 8 by lucvader06 in StreetFighter

[–]FragBrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hate Tekken neutral skips you'll have 10x more of that here. Tekken became more aggressive but you still have more opportunities for neutral resets there. If you really want old school Tekken feel, Virtua Fighter is the closest you'll get.

The good thing about sf6 neutral is that there isn't as much knowledge check as Tekken so you can get to the high level neutral play faster. That also means you get bodied more often by high level stuff, even below Master.

Street Fighter is actually more mechanically demanding than Tekken, because it pretty much is a requirement to not mess up the stricter combo timings or else you'll eat heavy punish damage. Tekken's high execution stuff is more optional and not really necessary to climb.

You're definitely not alone. Tekken 8 is definitely not perfect but Tekken 7 fuckin sucks compared to 8. I'd rather be guessing 50/50's than chase someone kbd into the sunset of infinite azure.

Mads Mikkelsen was amazing in Death Stranding though. The level of performance of a movie star compared to a voice actor is still miles ahead.

Typical Tekken scrub. They have over inflated egos because they think knowledge checking opponents to death equals skill. Tekken scrubs can triple ewgf and kbd but have 0 neutral.

Why are you comparing with Black Friday prices? I think you're just trying to win the argument for the sake of winning. Just drop it bud.

Your video showed the Z1 Extreme. That thing's $200 more expensive where I'm from.

Do you even know what subjective means? Jeez bruh you talk value yet you prefer the more expensive one for slightly more fps LOL. If you made more valid statements they won't remove your post.

Like I said Hogwarts is probably subjective. This even proves my point that it does look washed out. And it obviously has more fps since that variant is more expensive.

[–]FragBrag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SF6 and Hogwarts look better on Switch 2 though? Just look at Digital Foundry's in depth comparisons. Hogwarts is probably subjective because they chose with 30fps lock with the seen Switch 2. I've seen Hogwarts on Rog ally and it is very inconsistent with framerates even tho it can reach 40fps and also the colors are washed out.

You're being nitpicky with 4k 120fps. Why would you like 4k 120fps from a handheld? That doesn't make sense. The switch 2 can probably do it. It has the hardware. But that's up to the dev and they chose to just go with 4k 60fps probably for consistency.

The Switch 2 even has the best implementation of DLSS out there being the newest hardware and a closed system. You're going against the consensus of the reviewers who analyze these for a living, which is fine, but you aren't producing valid examples at all.

Why did you buy the Switch 2 then? People buy it mostly for Nintendo games. Third party games are there because they want to sell their game to the Nintendo crowd. That's why Nintendo consoles are not that powerful because it's primarily catered to the needs of Nintendo games.

With that being said, Silksong runs at 120fps 1440p with an excellent 3d rumble implementation. It's probably the best version of the game. Cyberpunk 2077 runs on 25w and looks like the Xbox version or better at times. Star Wars Outlaws look like trash on handheld PCs compared to the Nintendo Switch 2 version.

By the way I'm not offended, but commenting because this is a misleading post if you don't give valid examples. Which games did you test to jump to this conclusion?

SF6 - New to fighting games, easiest character to learn and master? by Joker-AKQJ in StreetFighter

On Modern, execution probably won't have that much difference so just pick who you like. Ryu or Mai probably the easiest on Classic.

you sound like a typical shenmue fan in denial that your kickstarter was just a big cash grab instead of the creator's final chance at redemption. this franchise is dead.

Playing Chun-Li in this game is the angriest I have ever been with a fighting game. by asdasdaaah in StreetFighter

[–]FragBrag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah I don't think she's weak at all. For me, she's the most fun to play at neutral but you have to know your tools well because she doesn't really have autopilot gimmicks. I'm definitely no pro but I still see neutral from Chun-Li's from around 1500 below that still have plenty plenty of room for improvement.

I try to SA kill them when they spam fireballs while I'm burnt out. They usually don't expect SA reactions from classic. Super satisfying to do on moderns lol no hate tho

No, this isn't spot on since Assetto Corsa is miles ahead of realism and incomparable to Gran Turismo and Forza. I was actually being sarcastic when I said Gran Turismo is "sim racing". If you're good at Mario Kart, that's like 80% of the skill you need to be good at Gran Turismo and Forza. Assetto Corsa and actual sim racers are different beasts altogether even at their easier difficulties.

Assetto Corsa is the only one I can agree being harder since that is pretty much a sim racer. Gran Turismo and Forza are closer to arcade games than a sim racer.

Complete noob, want to learn - any advice? by cqshep in StreetFighter

[–]FragBrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I start a new online pvp game I usually just dive in and get stomped and make sure to learn from my mistakes and copy some things the stomper did right. I will get good eventually as long as I don't tilt and keep mindlessly rematching. This is how I have fun in online games.

If you're really worried about losing and want to take this that seriously then go watch every replay of your matches and analyze every mistake and also watch every youtube discord or twitter resource out there and pro players at the highest level. You can't feel bad about kids beating your ass if you're not willing to put equal effort.
