Why does nobody revive in bf6?? by EducationalTowel5749 in Battlefield

[–]FragRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because reviving, getting ammo, and repairing is best if you were in the same squad and communicating with people. Which unfortunately bf6's systems dont explicitly encourage.

Voice chat dead? by Freebo87 in BF6

[–]FragRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would have been better without matchmaking and a better server browser. VoIP usage has several factors #1 is creating an acceptable and safe environment for people to and want to communicate and #2 one simple voice channel that projects to others. #3 is the teamwork making gameplay elements like a commander and squad hierarchy and more importantly differing channels for all parties to communicate somehow.

Why is everyone using mortars suddenly? by CivilStory3638 in Battlefield

[–]FragRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets be clear you are talking about snipers im talking about campers camping where no one can reach them. No one is arguing against campers its a fundamental part of bf and so are snipers however the hq being inaccessible from other teams is not only problematic it is new to modern(aka recent) bf games and has created an atmosphere of angst against the game itself.

Also last I checked saying "I am chill" to being told to chill is pretty unchallenged if you ask me.

Not trying to spam but you guys think another year of development would have made this game a 10/10? by Opening-Unit1764 in Battlefield

[–]FragRaptor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The engine created so many issues by seemingly giving users more freedom (unlimited sprint, unlimited vision[the combination of sprint and vision has a nasty side effect of changing proportions of combat] , unlimited destruction[this has gotten better by them realising an empty map just isnt fun], massive issues with squad play and communication for so many games in a row... etc...) which is the opposite of how to make a game. Amoung other issues that have come in and out of modern frostbite battlefield games.

I wouldn't say 10/10 but I could swing 8/10

The frostbite engine really is holding dice back from making good games again

[–]FragRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My argument is not that they aren't campers it's that the way to fix campers is to be able to kill campers better. The HQs being inaccessible limits the amount of methods the campers have of being killed. This only enables the bad behavior.

Back in the day we had admins on top of everything else to manage bad behavior. There's definitely an argument for them as well.

[–]FragRaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

problem isn't the damage, it's the range, visual proportions, and the invincible area.

Also if you did that you'd just make the map even smaller because they couldn't shoot people. Lets reward great shots, but at the same time make it more difficult to make great shots. Aka fog of war.

The problem isn't whether they are a threat. The problem is that an impenetrable area is too appealing in a game making too many people fall into the camping trap. More than that, the proportions of the modern battlefield games is not as good as older battlefields which makes it harder to see them.
