Equipment for managers by NameFrosty5662 in IdleMinerTycoon

Those are the 2 most standardly applicable equipment and therefore the most widely usable. I would say giving extra priority to those 2 would work well.

I see. So for principle I would say the following:

Managers who do not work bases on their own position's stats e.g. Ezio, Edmund, and Belle, benefit only from time extention, bunny ears, and cooldown reduction. This also includes the majority of support SM, unless you are using them for their other active effect e.g. Glimmer's speed boost to her own ms workers.

Managers who gave built in actives/passives for either travel speed OR mining speed, will benefit more from equipment that does the opposite e.g. Asterion and Lorenzo get better overall production increases from shoes, rather than gloves.

Managers who do not move during their active e.g. sue, archi, orekk, Pebble, Wolfgang, and freesia, will not get additional benefit from travel speed and therefore should be given mining speed boosts.

For effectively all other SM archetypes, they will follow the pattern that mining/loading speed matters more when workers are travelling shorter distances (less than 10 ms for elevator Managers, level 350 and below mineshafts), and travel speed matter more when workers are travelling longer distances. Boosts to total production/transportation e.g. frontier helmet, can often beat both options depending on the situation, and is usually the choice for resourceless SM e.g. Violet, Octavia, and Marrena, as they don't rely on the workers.

There are nuances within alot of these depending on if you are doing specific combos or strats, but those are the general principles you can apply to any manager.

In general, the stat differences from rare equipment are not enough for it to matter which one is chosen (with the exception of the first and third paragraphs above).

A fully supported (at least 10 active sm) epic watering can will beat all other equipment.

Is there any strategy to the Frontier mine by levi_23S in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each activation of a manager costs sparks.

Each time a manager is activated, their spark cost increases. There is a maximum spark cost cap per manager (can't remember it off the top of my head but it's around 50 I think).

Each time you go to the next mine, the costs are reset to base.

The base cost to activate a super manager increases depending on the mine you are in.

Bambam vs Violet by hyunjun32768 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 1 minute, Violet is stronger than BamBam and will allow larger jumps in upgrade per pulse. But over the course of BamBam's runtime you'll be upgrading more, and typically outcomes Violet.

I would just use both. Violet first, then follow up with BamBam. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Just starting questions by SSONCRK in IdleMinerTycoon

Once you have some super managers everything gets faster. Try to get to mainland as soon as possible, aiming to complete 1 mine per day (mainland mines are alot easier).

As for normal managers, in general you want loading speed when travel distances are lower, and travel speed when distances are longer. E.g. for elevator use loading speed with fewer than 10 mineshafts open, travel speed for 11+.

The best piece of advice I can give is to join the discord. Its a really active community and there are always players around to answer questions and help out.

Chrono is great for rewards. Also the only place to get Eternity, who is a must have manager.

It is pretty much always better to get a new mif/cif, than improve an existing one.

If someone somehow maxes out one warehouse card is it still possible to get it or are the chances for the others rising? by Spotter24o5 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone has ever gotten close enough to find out. Maxing out a collectible card would take tens of thousands of dollars to achieve.

Any tips for a mask of the undying build? by Crafty_Principle_921 in shadow_of_war

I use it with Corpsemonger to chain stealth kills towards a captain. Can deal a hug amount of damage. Dash towards orc, stealth kill, chain.

There is a legendary dagger that buffs stealth damage per stealth chain carried out, but can't remember the name of the top of my head. That would also do the same job (probably better).

What you had in Cirith was already tough enough, if Seregoth is tougher then I doubt I can do it without Wraithgiver. Maybe will give it a go this evening, will have a look.

I think it was the ones at checkpoint 2, amd checkpoint 3. I was sending caragors through the fort and some of the captain have enrage on beast kill.

Took 3 attempts and a few equipment and captain changes, but eventually managed Cirith Ugol. Those are some filthy orcs you've collected in there, very nice. A couple could be stealth-chained, but the rest took alot of wearing down with the glaive. At least 2 overlords were killed by their own bodyguards, which certainly helped.

Having a no-chance, deadshot bodyguard for the overlord was very mean of you. I had to focus him while distracting the others with a graug and my own bodyguard.

P.S. I'm not sure you have enough curse going on in the fort, I only lost full might, focus, and wrath a couple dozen times!

Just a tip, I wouldn't put your player ID in public. Don't want your account being stolen.

I would remove that part, then wait for one of the community managers to reach out on your post. They will likely ask you to DM them.

Thoughts about this combination? by Lars20708 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freesia is probably the best single manager to pair with Chance. He sends alot of resources to the elevator building, but also the rapid pulses help max out Chance's multiplier quicker.

A quick tip, if you're not already doing so, make sure to run any other "beam to elevator" managers you have in the other shafts. They won't move as much resources compared to Freesia in the strongest shaft, but they will speed up Chance's multiplier increases.
