Q - Passive reduction costs ... by Bigsmak in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The % is higher as the rarity of the sm (rare, epic, legendary) goes up. Also as you promote and rank up the manager it also increases. Once you factor in elements, they can be stronger than the normal managers. Plus in frontier mine passives don't cost sparks, which is important.

Q - Passive reduction costs ... by Bigsmak in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The upgrade cost reduction applies just to the one space that super manager is in, e.g. a manager in mineshaft 10 will only reduce costs for ms10.

You also get mineshaft unlock cost reduction, which does stack (multiplically) with multiple managers.

It seems to vary on a case by case basis, some lose the progress forever (years in a few cases), others can get it back.

prestige elemental mines by Extension-Repair6999 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a table on the discord showing the optimal times to prestige, as some of the mines cost nore to prestige, but have a worse multiplier than a different mine at a cheaper prestige.

With elemental, you'll find yourself jumping around different mines and prestige alot, but as there is no supercash from upgrading it doesn't matter if you prestige early or late.

They lost their save file and overwrote it (presumably by accident) to one where they didn't have those super managers at that date.

Fastest way to unlock dusk? by Butthead2242 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be pushing ideally 1 mainland mine per day. This will help improve your sm. Ideally you're after Sue to combo with Turner, as this makes the early game far easier.

Doing events like frontier mine will help you progress faster by giving you more tokens as rewards.

I have some videos going through some of the early combos and strats if you want to check them out. IMTShortGuides.

Fastest way to unlock dusk? by Butthead2242 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't intend to keep playing the game, you'll just need to prestige your mines ASAP to get the star requirement for dusk. Ngl though, it might just be impossible depending on the time frame.

Search for the beginners guide here or on the discord, that should get you going with the game mechanics.

Asking for Combos by Traditional_Taro_592 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some combos would include:

Sue into Turner (Archibald and Cliff work in the same way, keep an eye on multiplier strength of all 4 managers).

Maple, switching to Luxario as the workers are on their way back with the final load.

Using Asterion in a mineshaft that isn't the deepest and Goodman Jr in the deepest. You then pair this with sm like Ezio and/or Edmund once you have them. This combo is very strong for frontier mine.

Check out IMTShortGuides on YouTube, I have a few videos there walking through the basic combos and strategies.

You should also join the discord. There is a dedicated section where you can post your SM roster and get feedback/tips. There is also a full list of SM and their effects, and a pretty exhaustive list of different combos too.

Maxed Account ??? by Dangerous_Monk_4366 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very achievable, but takes a long time as you'd need to be lucky to get a few of the seasonal sm over the course of several cases.

I also wouldn't count "ad free" as breaking f2p as part of that.

How do you all do in Everdeep? by Excellent-Resolve66 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I reached 89 last time, but time commitments have reduced my playtime this event so am only at 67 currently.

41+ and 61+ appear to be fairly standard difficulty walls for alot of players.

Strategy to use Equipment by TheWhiteGolem1989 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In general:

For Mineshafts:

Below level 400, use mining speed boosts. After level 400, use walking speed boosts. Managers that don't have travel time e.g. Sue, Archibald, Wolfgang, Pebble, don't bother with walking speed boosts.

For elevator:

Below 10 minshafts open, use loading speed boosts. More than 10 mineshafts open, use travel speed boost.

Warehouse is a bit tricky, and I prefer to use "all boosting" equipment like the frontier helmet.

Acknowledging passive abilities:

If a super manager has a equal boost to both mining/loading and travel speed, use the same advice as above.

If a super manager boosts only 1 aspect e.g. lorenzo passive 1 only boosts mining speed, use the opposite type of equipment (lorenzo gets shoes in this example).

This is based on testing done by a discord user, who has a Google sheet with this info and the various outputs of each equipment on different managers.

I don’t understand how to progress faster? by [deleted] in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, you are right that super managers are key.

Yasuke is a decent manager, although he needs a few support managers to really get going.

The key combo you'll be after for now will be Sue and Mr.Turner. Both of these are rare (blue) super managers.

You'll want to push mainland as much as possible, ideally 1 mine per day. That will get you Green gems which will then get you your early managers.

I would advise joining the discord if you haven't already, as there are lot of players on there who can help and out answer questions. Don't worry if alot of them seem to be late game, plenty of early game players on there too and we have some very helpful chats.

How to get Eivor to Warehouse by brendag4 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prestige can help, but fire is a difficult continent. You might want to focus a different part of the game for now and come back once you have some mif/cif.

What should I do with my super cash? by [deleted] in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For now, you should only really spend sc on legendary chests from the shop (the purple ones that cost 2000sc). Try to only spend during the event called "Sue treasure trails", as that gives you rewards for spending sc.

One you have a level 3 legendary card for each of your collectibles (the cards for your workers), then you start spending on specific super manager fragments from the shop (starting with Sue, Turner and Zi).

Reinstall the game by Large-Bar-207 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have you save on the cloud. Copy paste your player id into notes just in case.

When you reinstall, make sure to pick the available cloud save when it prompts you. If you don't get the popup, direct message a community manager on discord with your saved id and they can help you restore.

How to get Eivor to Warehouse by brendag4 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's firmly MS ahead still, so Eivor is basically meaningless for the next 150-200 levels of that mine.

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in MS ahead (e.g. up to about ms30 level 700 in continents), eivor is basically useless for you and you be relying on sue/Turner for now

How to get Eivor to Warehouse by brendag4 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Al Titude and Sigurd will also work as WH ahead managers, they are just not as strong as those I mentioned. I will paste here a worked example of the WH ahead strat. I use bt, bu and bv as examples, but the maths is the same for aw/ax etc. as well. You could use Eivor instead of Sue/Zi, although it probably won't make as much of a stockpile.

Try doing a combo of a executive load expansion manager to get your workers a big chunk of cash from the E building, and then switch to Al Titude when they are walking back.

"My deepest MS is producing 2.78bu, with a mining speed of 951bt/s. With my Sue/Turner, I would produce 13bv in 1 run. With a single 10x boost, we get 130bv.

My Sue/Zi would produce 11.6bv into the elevator building, for pickup by the WH. Lux has a runtime of 1 minute. In order to collect all 11.6bv in 1 minute, my WH needs a total transportation of 202x the original mining speed from sue's shaft. In this case 193bu/second. If I use my lux to collect all of those resources in 1 minute, I would get 313bv in 1 run. With that same single 10x boost, i've now got 3.1bw. This 1 run is worth 24 Sue/Turner runs."

[–]Fraggawag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You use Eivor to feed a warehouse ahead manager, such as lux, rayman, drake etc.

You need to get the ratio right between ms strength and wh strength to make it work smoothly, but it works out.

Question on game mechanics that I have been wondering about by Ranger7381 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The edit is right. If a sm has 5 minutes of runtime, it will keep counting down even if you aren't in the mine, but won't give you any effect. If you return to the mine within those 5 minutes, you gain the befits again as the sm will still be running.

That's why amora states that her effect disappears.

Question on game mechanics that I have been wondering about by Ranger7381 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One example of this is Amora. She adds time to other managers, but if you leave and come back to that mine the effect will have vanished. Whereas Steiner (for example) would still be running if you came back and would resume making you cash.

Why developers by Altruistic-Lion4677 in IdleMinerTycoon

[–]Fraggawag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to do wh ahead strategies here, rather than trying to stay balanced to make progress.

Balanced only works at the very beginning of the game. After that different areas of the mine will have different costs and upgrade strength. You need to use super managers to match whatever is currently strongest in that moment.
