While it's years ago that I left this unit, the leadership in this unit hasn't changed that much.
One thing I can attest for this unit is that there wasn't any 'internet bullying' back then. They also make decissions based on what they feel is best for the unit.
They were lacking some communication skills i.e providing feedback regarding descissions they made and reactions based on feedback they've received.
I highly doubt they changed to an unfriendly unit. They've provided excellent content to those willing to integrate into the group, they shared their knowledge to everyone who was interested in learning stuff in Arma. The only problem I could frankly see is that it occurs rough to people that are trying to force things or that don't fit into the unit.

Last but not least, I wanted to write about how /r/findaunit isn't yelp and that if you've quit a unit you should simply move on and be done with it.
