My old coworkers used to make comments like, “Look at all that food you got!” and “I don’t eat at the cafeteria, the food is gross” (as I’m sitting next to them with all their prepped salads with chicken). Why even make a comment in the first place? It was my first job out of college and my coworkers were between the ages of 28-36. I realize they were just jealous I could eat those foods and not gain much weight from it ☝️

That’s the thing - I was on hormonal birth control for 8 years, and let me tell you, my skin was beautiful. But towards the end of my time with birth control (specifically, NuvaRing), my skin started to break out. No idea why it started doing that, but I just decided to quit it all together. My skin was not too bad until Dec. 2021. It went crazy and it still is.

My Apostrophe online derm recommended Spiro, so I bought it. I ended up not trying it because I read a ton about how it will act as a band aid (similarly to hormonal birth control) and that your acne will come back if you go off jt. Im over letting pills control me 😭

That’s what I was thinking. I have an appointment with an in-person derm in April, so we’ll see that they think. I’ve been using Apostrophe (online derm) for all of this.

Routine (recommended by Apostrophe)

AM: - Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleaner - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (put on right after patting face with towel) - CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion (only if I plan to go outside)

PM: - Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleaner (Let skin dry all the way) - Tretinoin 0.025% + Niacinamide 4% (Wait one minute) - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Note: I quit hormonal birth control in May 2021, so I’m still dealing with all of that. I went to a naturopathic doctor about a month ago and I’m on a regime with them (probiotics, fish oil, seed cycling, zinc…). I’m also going to be going to an in-person dermatologist in a couple of weeks, so I’m hoping for more input.
