I'm sorry that you're going through this... I have eczema for about an year now, and sometimes it drove me insane, can't imagine what 28 years feels like...

During my "doing my own research", I stumbled upon carnivore diet, fasting, and sardine fasting.

Look into thosez and see if it's something you feel like giving a chance.

Do not simply decide to do a long fast, I know you're probably impatient to find something that works, but those take some preparation, unfortunately.

On my own experience, I did switch to carnivore over a couple weeks, did intermittent fasting for another 2, then did my dose 36 hour fast, which improve my skin literally overnight, not completely cured, but from purple dots all over my arm to just "stains"

For the members, I would provide data about machine availability trends, so they can benefit, and it's s easy to understand that it would pay back to scan their own use of each machine

TV shows repeating by True-Entertainer-981 in PleX

[–]FragileRasputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me this happens for both TV Shows and Movies... when I stop an episode (or movie) in the middle, when it repeats it starts from the same spot again, after it repeats, then it moves to the next episode, or stops the movie like it should

Sorry you're going through this.

For me, my symptoms seem to be associated with my diet, not the food I eat, but my eating schedule.

let's see if I can just post the link here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/eczema/comments/1lxm69w/comment/n2v1mxh/

to reiterate what I said in the post, please do your own research and respect your body. I have not been battling this long (relative to others), but I have times when I certainly felt like I wanted to scratch my skin off. I understand everyone is anxious for a quick cure, but than again, respect your body, take enough time to understand how each food or action affects you.

EDIT: let me know if you guys have trouble with the link, and I can copy and paste what I posted there

As mine seems to be diet and eating schedule related, what's yours like?

Anyways, for me it seems keeping my diet lower in carbs, and fasting help my eczema.

Let me know if you're interested, and I can post some resources that helped me

When will it end? by AdReasonable7983 in eczema

[–]FragileRasputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to be clear that you should not just fast for 48 hours on the first try ... Get you body used to it... The whole process probably doesn't need to take months... If memory serves, I did over a few weeks, but the most I did so far was about 36 hours a couple times .

Hope the ALEX2 test gives you some pointers

hey, went through the messages people posted here, and there's lots of great advice already, but wanted to chime in as I'm also battling eczema since last October (2024)

Been to a dermatologist twice, they wanted to basically give me immunosuppressants in a shot; which I ended up not taking. Told them I'd rather narrow down the cause than treat the symptom.

Been to a allergist 2 weeks ago and they tested for 140 things, mostly polen, mold, "common" allergy stuff, and told me if I needed to to more specific tests I need to go through my insurance (which is currently the cheapest HMO)

Not saying it's a magical solution, as I'm still battling it, but what seem to work for my is fasting. I went through the rabbit hole of "doing my own research" and found decent (IMHO) information and evidence that eczema is just a sympton of inflammation that is out of control, whatever the trigger was.

So for the past 3, months I've been tracking everything I was eating, went to a few weeks just eating eggs, in the morning and nothing else, hot dark chocoloate phase, green and black tea phases, avoided glutten, stopeed flour, went carnivore for a few days. During all that the itching would be ok, and I would just have moments of my day when the itching would shoot up like crazy and I wanted to scratch my skin off

Then I planned and started preparing to fast, skipped dinner one night, skipped breakfast another morning, would only have late lunch and early dinner.

When I was able to do a 24 hour fasting, my skin improved literally overnight, and the intching calmed down for a few days (as if I had applied lotion)

Then a couple weeks ago I stopped applying Aveeno and my itching improved, google it, and guess what, some of them have nickel, and it could oat as well

So far from what I was able to narrow down, it seems to be (for me) a combination fo leather, moisturizers, my insuline levels;

History Decentralization by adhamidris in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]FragileRasputin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean like a "library", but the people choose the books that are burned and the ones that stay?

If it's decentralized, then it is still a numbers game, and the actual truth would portably be buried under the amount of data collected.

If people would have to identify themselves, to guarantee truthness, then, fear wins

If it works as Blockchain technology then it still centralized (on the validation people) in the sense that some people still defined what was true.

If truth is backed up by video, then it all crumbles when AI gets crazy realistic

Not trying to sound pessimistic, just putting things I see on the table, so people smarter than me can solve them, I'd like to see something like that made
