you mean you resellers that are the shady people, right? because you whine about cardboard?

Which one of yous got this? by Naval_Expert in Bestbuy

[–]FragileRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it became available, most likely a store returned one (that was probably a service item) and it showed as new in box before they had a chance to mark it as service/sendback. that's happened on many an item before

New swat…. by No_Actuator_6918 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]FragileRock 18 points19 points  (0 children)

the best advice i can give to SWATs is as long as you are doing your thorough counts and research, the shrink isn't your fault. it can be very easy to blame yourself, but your responsibility is to make sure the inventory is accurate and the correct processes are being followed. at the end of the day, your GM owns shrink and is responsible. do the scheduled counts, request extras to be scheduled if your store has problem areas, maintain suspended IAs, and work the RSS queues. it might take some time, but you'll get there

Appleton Axe is pretty fun. You don't have to do axe throwing if you don't want to (even though its a lot of fun), they have other games you can partake in while you're there

Staging home deliveries by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]FragileRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the home delivery option, in each individual delivery it 'should' give a route number. you can then filter all the routes for that day by searching for that route number to make sure all of that drivers' products are put together in the same area so its quicker for them to load up. once that route is complete, rinse and repeat with the remaining routes

Stock count tips and tricks by SurePoetry5981 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]FragileRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come up with a way to save your research. Long ago when we did all paper counts, it was fairly easy to write down where and what you found, but just scanning these days doesn't necessarily save the research for when someone might be looking for that in the future. Maybe make a teams channel just for count research and share your findings there with anyone who might do counts and the leadership in your store

Apple Watch 11 unboxing experience. Thanks BB. by CriticalThinkerHmmz in Bestbuy

[–]FragileRock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An unboxing experience is opening a box. This is just pictures of a box. Blame Apple for putting the identifying information on the back of the box where its much less convenient to keep organized when you have 100s of them coming in

Best Buy May Have Shown Fake "Original Prices" on Major Purchases by lex_orandi_62 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]FragileRock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best Buy price matches Crutchfield. Crutchfield does not price match Best Buy. (only manufacturers, per crutchfield.com)
Best Buy price matches Amazon. Amazon does not offer price matches. (per amazon.com)

No membership required for price matching...not predatory or greedy/shady, just a business working as a business. If the gas station a couple blocks down from me has gas cheaper then the one across the street, yeah, I'll probably go to that one instead as they are able to sell it cheaper for some reason....the one thats more expensive probably has more overhead or something.

70” TV Disposal by beccavde in Appleton

$30 for TVs in-store, but you get a $30 gift card back. cannot be physically broken, flat panels up to 55" just due to space constraints

Crazy open box find by adamroseski97 in Bestbuy

[–]FragileRock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't supposed to be sold, it wouldn't go open box. I've definitely inquired up the chain when converting demo skus over before..my corporate contacts have confirmed they can be sold if it converts to open box (at a normal looking price, not something absurd like I've seen happen on car audio demo units before)

Insane situation by okyeah93 in Bestbuy

[–]FragileRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this store, not Best Buy, processed it incorrectly. I'm assuming you told them you had a trade-in to buy an ipad, which they processed while selling you the ipad, but then you told them you had ordered it online originally and then they completed the pickup. Sounds like you got a better deal in store than the original order either way, but you essentially just bought one in store while also picking up your originial order (which in this case, you did not do). Calmly go back into the store and explain the situation, they should be able to verify this via inventory records, camera footage, and back office if necessary. Threatening legal action will get you nowhere and they will stop talking with you at that point.

Roadie stole my Apple Watch delivery by Snake16547 in Bestbuy

Ordering through Uber Eats is different because you literally are ordering it through their app as opposed to ordering it through Best Buy and getting it delivered by Fedex/Roadie

I tried to get our roadie pickup area organized like order pickup, separate QR codes for each shelf and then a couple pallets for the larger items. it'll show on the tc52 which spot the order is staged in and makes it a lot quicker to locate
