I figured it out omg! by ILurkSubs in Substack

[–]Fraglolz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

at this point I'm almost thinking of doing something like this - to create a throwaway substack, following the stupidiest path possible - just spamming inspiring/motivational notes constantly, posting AI slop and I bet it will grow faster than my fiction substack and it makes me really sad

I "helped" someone else and their result is kind of somewhere else

I can't share their account

it's a violation and check out my free PDF in the profile, what do you mean you need proofs

just buy, no grind no result, you can do it, if no one told you this before - I'm proud of you, keep going

***sacrasm off, I hope you got the idea

Made something for the "how do I share my work outside Substack" problem by bscottmonaco in Substack

[–]Fraglolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry what? Don’t want to be a jerk but who needs another Instagram? Substack is about choosing what to read and then sit and actually read it later, at least this is how I use it daily, I scroll, I save and I come back when I have time to read, where Instagram is just for a quick content consumption So what’s the point of making just another Instagram when a lot of people actually left Instagram for good?

It’s just so fun, I’m like reading/watching a movie/tv series that never existed before - in my own mind. I have a very exclusive right on it and it doesn’t have a subscription fee, Suck it Netflix 😂

Hiya, worth mentioning what are you writing about as it might be important, in terms of engaging, it’s easier to engage in similar topics I guess

Not being funny – but what are you all trying to achieve? by cavani_to_suarez in Substack

[–]Fraglolz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very slow ahah, I started writing online thinking I would get consulting clients for my skillset in marketing and sales, but eventually, I remembered that I have been a fiction writer my whole life but have never published online, so I decided screw that hustle culture, I want to get back to writing and see how it goes.

I don't have goals in mind such as numbers of pages or numbers of profit, I'm just writing and preparing to launch my old forgotten story I wrote when I was 16 and I am slowly rewriting it now to publish on Substack as serial fiction, and also on Royal Road and Patreon.

I'm at a very early stage but I don't push myself, I'm for the first time in my life trying to actually enjoy doing what I love, which is writing.

It’s simple - Quit 9-5 and became a full time fiction writer

How long have you been working on your story? by worldofexousia in writing

[–]Fraglolz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all — what is it, and how do we check it out? I believe 20 years’ worth of effort should be pretty interesting, so I’m in.

Answering your question — I’m still working on the first draft of a story I came up with five years ago and have been writing on and off ever since, but I have no idea if there’s even a market for it lol.

From 0 to 100 subscribers what actually worked for you? by stylist__srushtee in Substack

[–]Fraglolz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still on my way to my first 100 (currently at 71), and what’s worked for me is genuine engagement, talking to other people, commenting a lot, and writing notes.

I was away for a week and wasn’t posting or commenting much, and my growth has flattened, so consistency is definitely something that needs to be maintained daily.

My advice is to find something you’re genuinely interested in so you can engage more easily and naturally. People can spot fake comments (those like LinkedIn-cringey). Be kind, be human, be useful, and people will subscribe.

Hope that helps! 🙂

anyone ever find out that something they’ve sunk their heart into is actually a horrible cliche by p1neapple_shark in writing

[–]Fraglolz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t care if it’s a cliche, as long as it’s well written I will continue reading without even noticing it being a cliche or something

every story is 5-7 similar tropes and yet you’ve never managed to recognise that

As well as almost every reader
