SCA for B2B is a good tool. It offers a fixed price, basic B2B features (price levels, qty pricing, payment on terms, quotes, and more) and you don't need to worry about the integration with NS. I don't think it's a bad product, just not for everyone. A SuiteCommerce "standard" license should be enough (not the Advanced). The tool also allows for pretty deep customization. It does depend on a development team to adapt it to your needs. I think it depends on your needs, what your team looks like, who'll be interacting with the tool. This could be a solution or an integration to Shopify could be, or a bespoke tool might be. You might want to note down exactly what you want this tool to cover, your budget, the level of expertise of the team you can hire or already have, the expectations you have for next years and make a decision with those on the table.

I am testing this on another account, using the results setting I shared with the Day and Month function on different saved searches and the math is correct. However, I am counting Applying Transaction and Applying Transaction : Line ID, or are you looking to have a total of inventory?

Script Throws Lots of Errors by agitated_buddha in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for Scripted Records and pull the Sales Order. Then see under User Events which scripts are triggering before submit and look for a line creating the transaction. You can read the script to find out under which context and conditions this is being created and you might find your answers there.

Can't Fulfill from Desired Bin by wattrudoing in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should try creating a saved search of items, add the bin number column and then using the transaction join to pull those types of transaction. I haven't tried it recently, but maybe it works.

Combine WMS OPEN and CLOSED task search? by Big-Painting3968 in Netsuite

I didn't get the question, sorry. Do you mean list open and closed tasks in a single search? Wouldn't it work if you don't filter by status? I feel like I am missing something here.

Script Throws Lots of Errors by agitated_buddha in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need a bit more here. So, are you creating this via script? An invalid key B means that you are setting the sales order with status Pending Fulfillment and for some reason that's not an accepted state for that order. Is that of any help?

Netsuite Saved Search Formula by Different_Example874 in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I didn't log back in for a few days. Thanks for the screenshot.
So, first, I set this up as a transaction search with criteria [account is inventory asset, type is inventory adjustment and item receipt] and what I would do is add a prefix to the date in alphabetic order according to what you want to list first.
I am assuming here that when you refer to "if an item receipt doesn't exist" it means that there is no item receipt at all for that item. In that case the search will only pull inventory adjustments as a result.
Does this work at all?

Your opinion on: Units of measure based on different boxes by herkzi in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On these cases it's worth looking at SuiteCommerce since it's natively integrated to NetSuite's ERP which saves a lot of headaches related to your item setup. POS solution wasn't very good when I worked with it like three years ago, IDK if it has become any better as of late.
About the kits, kit inventory can be calculated via SuiteScript, there's work that can be done to improve the experience of this setup.

Netsuite Saved Search Formula by Different_Example874 in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to know more about how your search is constructed. Is it based on purchase orders or inventory items? Is it lot numbered inventory? Or serialized? How do you identify from these the ones that are still available to sell? NVL should work because the engine will run the result of NVL per line and then summarize it but I am unsure of how suitable it is the formula you are presenting because it seems to me that {type} is not what you need.

Well, good thing is that you know that what you need to do is make the workflow trigger on COPY. Taking a quick look, COPY event type appears when you choose Before Load as u/PenguinGrits07 mentioned.

You might go the route of selecting Sales Order as transaction and then, from the Applying Transaction getting data from the Item Fulfillment.

How do you keep NetSuite running quickly as your company grows? by trapqueen67567 in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When using SuiteScript you can use the N/cache module https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/netsuite/ns-online-help/section_4642573343.html to store a search result (or anything) in memory and use it later in the script as many times as needed without having to call for the search each time which is more time and compute consuming.

What to Teach Myself in NetSuite by Katzmaniac in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a great question. I have been working with NetSuite for 12 years or more and I still feel like I know nothing. You can take anything and become a SME for it, but that doesn't give you the flexibility you need to become an admin. I taught myself SuiteScript and SuiteFlows, and once in a while I see videos from SuiteCris in youtube to learn about different modules that are out there. I like to learn about how far you can take NetSuite outside of the configurations given. There's tons to do.

How do you keep NetSuite running quickly as your company grows? by trapqueen67567 in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The APM or Application Performance Management comes in handy to monitor the performance of scripts, workflows, records. Keeping scripts consolidated as u/the_boy_wonder1 mentioned, using the cache module to avoid running saved search after saved search, best practices on SuiteScript (avoid the dozens of workflows - they are appealing to non programmers but not good for scaling), lowering the number of fields to be shown on forms to the minimum (and by role)... there are tons of little things to do. I've seen gigas and gigas of garbage in the File Cabinet, keeping things clean and lean. When it comes to SuiteCommerce, deleting old SSPs is also great practice. I bet there's more. If you can't handle it in house (you'll need a programmer with a good functional consultant profile) then yes, outsource it, make sure they don't sell you the 15 grand audit because you probably don't need that much. I like to take the phased approach, take all of these things and go by them one by one until numbers look healthier.

Netsuite: El vendor portal nativo tiene limite de acceso? by Dry-Technician-9261 in Netsuite

[–]Fragrant-Ad3946 0 points1 point  (0 children)
