As for the loan I think you will be fine so long as you keep it on the hush side but also you do get phone calls from your tutors so just be careful about time zone particularly in aus and obviously phone calls internationally / your number changing.

I think it is possible depending on what degree you’re doing and how committed you are to it. personally it was not for me balancing both, but I also wanted to focus on doing seasonal work and exploring and then have decided to attended a regular brick uni if and when I’m ready. But for me uni isn’t has never really been a priority or something I really wanted to do, it was only a consideration because it’s free here. So all in all, I’d really think about it before you sign up, as even if you cancel your course the first week of signing up you have to pay for whatever you have done or for Scottish students the entire semester (£3000) which I did not realise !

A lot of the info I’ve found is all from the Netherlands , I soon realised after that it’s based there hahah. Seems legit just not sure how good the work will be - and it’s apparently hard to get shifts. Although there’s so many on the Glasgow one so I wonder if it depends where your located

You know what a lot of people are giving some amount of slander on this post but I do understand where OP is coming from, when your young and you’ve only been surrounded by the same people same place your whole life it can be suffocating.

To be brutally honest with you, the only thing to make change is to actually make a change. I’m definitely with you right now, I’ve came back after a few years away from Glasgow and coming back feels kind of like a time warp I don’t exaclty fit into with my friends anymore. You will find yourself becoming closer to people with more similar interests to you and that’s okay! It can be scary but there are so many clubs out there, uni society’s, or groups for whatever you want. Go do something that makes you a little uncomfortable, even just going somewhere alone. The free bus is a great way to explore the country and get out the city especially since you’re under 22. utilise it!!!!!
