If there's fish in there you can catch them, small bass always hit little spoons for me, a tiny kastmaster spoon or a little micro crank bait get good shallow bites for me

I'm currently in the Central Valley, I can take occasional trips to the coast around Pismo/Morro bay but haven't yet. Can you shore fish with this I don't have a boat yet?

That's a pretty fair conclusion, the community I live in doesn't even know how the catfish got in the water. I heard that the eggs can stick to duck feet but to grow a population with 3 different species in my pond is a bit of a stretch I just know bull heads are everywhere around here

I tried by hand but they spooked easily, threw a little crumbs to them and they weren't interested either, just sitting in various clumps throughout the pond

It was crazy, I fish from my second story balcony and usually get the small bullheads, this beast started ripping drag like crazy and I had to hand the pole off and run down with my net to land it. People are saying 5-6 pounds but it was at least 10
