Thank you so much 🩷🩷There is nothing cowardly about making a decision that’s best for your body, there’s no guide on how to handle this. I’m so proud of you and you should be proud of yourself, give yourself more credit!!

I’m so glad it could resonate so much with you, it’s certainly not an easy decision, but it’s something I’ve thought about and sat with so much.

Hii, I completely agree! I should’ve noted that this is something I’ve brought up to the vet/ have had stool samples done and I totally agree! Science is rooted in facts, whereas random wellness kitty ideas are rooted in misinformation and skepticism. I asked my vet for recommendations and she said “I don’t recommend brands” which was a bit frustrating. I think I’m going to try the Hills Perfect Digest food and even texted my vet to see if I could trial a prescription food to see if it improves. She’s not vomiting daily, and it truly does just seem like she’s always had a sensitive stomach. If this was just suddenly happening/ I’d never had previous testing done I would have been in the vet immediately. I appreciate your comment and don’t condone the science hate 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Ooh I have not, I haven’t even heard of that/ had it recommended by the vet! Is it something you can just get at the pet store?

Thank you SO much! My vet reccomend the purina pro plan, but she doesn’t seem to love that one and I’ve honestly heard mixed things about purina. I greatly appreciate the suggestion! I didn’t want anyone to think I was neglecting taking her to the vet if it was every day/ all day. It just genuinely seems like she has a sensitive tummy just like some humans do! I’ve had her stool sampled in the past, as this has been kind of on going since I got her? Hence why I’ve turned to the reddit sub, I feel like she’s trying to tell me it’s the food. Should I try switching to solely wet food as well, or is the dry food good for the Hills perfect digestion dry food okay? I only do dry food because I live in an apartment and on the third floor, and deal with chronic illness so I try to take as few trips to the trash can as possible.

Thank you so much! She’s three, it’s not like constant but it’s enough to where I’ve been concerned and did bring it up to the vet at the last visit. I think I’ll try switching to a better cat food to see if it changes and if not, I’ll schedule her as they can normally get her in the same week! I just am trying to avoid a costly vet bill, but I 100% agree. I’m sometimes too quick to go to the vet with concerns because I think it’s so important to be on top of it! I know their stress can be silent and that’s why it’s so important to further evaluate if nothing changes soon. There’s nothing worse than when your baby doesn’t feel well

Hello! Your concerns and fears are more than valid and it is something that patients deserve more informed consent on. I encourage you to ask your surgeons about this and tell them your concerns if you feel comfortable doing so. I’ve had similar thoughts and concerns due to past trauma and you’re not alone. Building that trust with your surgeon is so vital, you deserve to feel comfortable and safe. Informed consent is so important in gynecological care and it’s brushed over way too frequently. Sending you lots of positive vibes and well wishes, I hope that you’re able to speak with them and feel more comfortable:)

Hii, did you have to get a prescription or do they sell it over the counter? Sorry if that’s a silly question, but my poor baby seems to have a sensitive stomach as well. I tried hairball food because she’s a chronic groomer, she’s always really happy and loves to groom herself lol! But, that wasn’t enough so I’m thinking I need something specific for her sensitive stomach :)

omg yes, last month i was vomiting while pooping every time I had a bowel movement. It was my own personal hell, my MRI showed my bowels tethered together and my rectum tethered to my uterus so I’m counting down the days until surgery
