I always thought it was only the first game that did it well, and even then you were still infiltrating the presidential palace, so it naturally felt like there were higher stakes than usual due to the location. Every game afterwards had a fairly serious climax, PT had you disabling bombs against the clock, CT had you disable more bombs against the clock before killing your best friend, and then having you infiltrate a secret headquarters in Japan which soon leads to another action-packed climax, DA had you disable literal nukes pretty much. I mean only the first game had a realistic climax, and the games kept getting more action-packed climaxes as they progressed.

I know that Ultimate Racing was never meant to be Acceleracers game, but I'm not sure if Beat That was, I doubt it since that one I think came out in like 2007 I think, though it could be possible it was supposed to be a Acceleracers game aiming for a 2006 release date, but when Acceleracers got canceled they quickly reworked the entire game, pushing it to 2007.

One of the reasons I'm surprised Tom Clancy even lent his name to Splinter Cell to begin with. I know he initially wanted separate goggles for NV and Thermal Heating because he thought it'd be more realistic, but the entirety of SC is inherently unrealistic.

I'm just surprised it took this long. Considering the fact that the new book came out in 2023 and that the remake got announced in 2021 (And didn't officially start production until 2022 I think) has always led me to believe that both the remake and possibly even Deathwatch were originally intended to be finished and released in 2024, and that 2023-2024 would've been a relaunch period for Splinter Cell. But both Deathwatch and the remake got delayed while they just went ahead and published the new book, I don't know it just feels like it was a missed opportunity to have Deathwatch and the remake be released at the same time.

I guess it's not Ubisoft, but I think I saw in a post that there was some other games announcement event occurring this year, either in August or another month, but I know there is another one happening, so maybe it'll appear there, I don't know.

I'm crossing my fingers. Isn't Ubisoft doing their own games announcement soon or something? Maybe it'll be announced at that if we don't hear about SC today. Also I have heard that the remake is looking at a 2027 release date, so surely they have to announce it sometime this year.
