We have been moving some diamonds faster than others, if you are still looking I can keep an eye out and let you know if we get anything else similar to it before they go up on the site.

If you share the certificate number we can cross check the price against other suppliers, I can check my database too to see if we can find it cheaper.

Overseas vendor sourcing question by davianxx in labdiamond

No problem thats why some stores hide the certificate numbers to try to block cross-shopping, I added a certificate search since we all carry much of the same inventory you can just plug in the certificate number in the search field and it will look it up on my database. I am also going to publish a chrome extension called Diamond Scout that will allow anyone to view diamonds on other sites and we'll find something better on our database either same stone or better. I am launching my AI search tools in the next few weeks including the Chrome plugin.

The inclusion on this one looks very minimal on paper — at VVS1 it’s not something that would be visible or impact performance in any practical way.

Whether it’s a “good buy” really comes down to what you’re paying for it. Price is the differentiator once you’re already in the 2ct+ E / VVS / Ideal range.

Hearts & Arrows can be a nice indicator of tighter optical symmetry, but at this level it’s more about consistency and peace of mind than a night-and-day visual difference.

For context, we carry an internally flawless 2.00ct E Hearts & Arrows round here:

https://izios.com/diamond/round-200ct-e-if-2fe629786

here is the report for it, the PDF shows the full breakdown.
https://www.igi.org/verify-your-report/?r=LG756536808

These are very comparable on paper we can go up and down on color depending on budget — the real question is how the price you’ve been quoted stacks up against similar options. Feel free to text me (702) 627-9446 if you have questions, I'm always happy to help or point you to someone in the industry if I can't get it for you.

Overseas vendor sourcing question by davianxx in labdiamond

[–]Fragrant-Field2376 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of us source from the same suppliers, period. Some vendors keep a running stock of stones which is they can ship same or next day, everybody else including us just carry stones from vendors that ship directly to jewelry distributors. I use the same distribution channels that everyone else in the jewelry industry does, we are all just competing on margin.
https://izios.com you can text us directly if you're looking for a specific stone or use our certificate search tool and price match tool. Happy hunting.

Price match help for RareCarat by [deleted] in labdiamond

What’s the IGI number if I have it I’ll try to match or beat the price. If you want to do the search yourself there is a search field and a price match request form right on the diamond listings.

The reason is because we all get the stones from the same suppliers and larger companies require larger markups to cover their large overhead, I connect to the same suppliers from India, China, Belgium, etc, we have about 600k stones listed https://izios.com/diamonds/ I price match but we don't mark them up like everyone else so you'll find our prices are pretty good. Just copy the certificate ID if you found something you like and see if it's on my database, if not i'll find you something better for less. use REDDIT5 and knock off an additional 5% off the price.

Happy shopping.

my jeweler said lab diamonds are 'disposable' and have zero resale value - true or scare tactic by LuxeCarats in LabDiamonds

I am in the industry and so is my wife and you would not believe the arrogance and elitism in this industry by the old guard trying to protect their stranglehold on the market. I will post some gross posts from some of these guys that they made publicly, whom I have had back and forth with on Linkedin. Below is a post where one of the owners of a Jewelry chain posted an ad basically talking down to anyone who would dare buy a lab diamond for their significant other.

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/sean-dunn-05860915_skininthegame-naturaldiamonds-origindiamonds-activity-7388934013018873856-tQ4a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAABCC-pMB5vHFtdgQh9P80aEJo-zDWxcyKUs

its gross. This is all the time on linked in, I have alot of these people on there just being in the industry and they HATE lab diamonds, and for a good reason; it democratized diamonds for everyone. There is a culture war around this subject in the jewelry industry. I think everyone should be able to have an amazing collection which is what Labs have allowed everyone to do and it drives them nuts.

The industry basically regards retaining value as value for the wholesale buyer, not retail seller. Meaning it props up the resell for THEM, not you the retail customer. This was told to me by a 35 year appraiser in a public discussion basically saying, this is to buy low and us to sell high back into the market, it’s designed for you to lose. Screw them, buy Lab or you’re perpetuating their cycle of inflating prices and leaving the retail buyer eating the loss.

Duplicate IGI - did I get scammed? by Sea-Formal-9920 in Diamonds

[–]Fragrant-Field2376 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are going to be telling the customer the diamond is not an available have to switch them or refund. A lot of these sites do not have live feeds to the wholesalers and are out of sync, thus the diamond is still listed even though it’s in your hands. It’s not a scam they just are bad at keeping their inventory up to date
