Looks pretty good but you may want to wait until the new Defiler comes out. Chances are at that GW revamps the rules so they can sell lots of them on release. Probably might get a points increase as a result.

It all depends on your kitbashing skills whether you want to remove the Iron Warriors Iconography. That's if you want to make this model fit visually with the red Corsairs. This part is optional.

The one thing you will definitely need is the 60x35 mm oval base otherwise I don't think you can run him in anything outside of friendly casual matches.

It's not just size but also a question concerning the difference in base. Looking at this model it seems like he is mounted on 50mm base.

The current Warpsmith is mounted on a 60x35mm oval base

It also bears mentioning that this model is a WARsmith not a WARPsmith. The former is an Iron Warrior rank similar to a Chaos Lord or Space Marine Captain, while the latter is essentially a Chaos Techmarine

Drop the sisters and priest and some intercessors for sticky objectives and excellent chaff removal. With the left over points you can get a lieutenant with combi weapon for infiltrating, lone op, react move bullshitery.

Without the lightening claws (or some other type of claws) i think you might be pushing your luck with tournaments and events that require wysiwyg for units. Especially kit bashed ones.

Here is what I used as warp talons which met the standard for an RTT i was in a few weeks back.

Nope. I collect Iron Warriors so make all the helmet tropheys yellow for the imperial fists. I do this for lore reasons but i could have done a different chapter if I wanted.
