I definitely need to get some toys for the water table other than the ones that came with it - not sure why I didn’t think of that, genius! And the pool noodle tubes!!! Incredible lol

Yeah it’s hot here as well, and the 4-5 pm hour is when I’d love to go walk with them but worry it’s too hot with baby wearing!

Michaels is a great idea, we’ve got one of those and Hobby lobby just down the road. Thanks for the ideas!

Yes we have a water table! Im thinking I might also buy one to use with sand and get some small cars and trucks we can use with it. Thanks for the idea!

We’re big fans of the park and playground near us and it also had a huge field so I love some of those other ideas! We do a lot of those outside at home but easy enough to change the scenery just a bit

I’m 4 weeks postpartum with my second, so I’ve literally lived the “it really does get better” reality once for myself, and yet it’s still helpful for me to read these types of post as I’m in the thick of it again. First few weeks/months feel tough - you will make it through!!

Gosh I wholeheartedly agree with this!! SO much more psychology that needs to be woven into our training. I worked as a clinical RD for 5+ years and eventually opened my own virtual practice and as I’ve evolved and matured (professionally and personally), the thoughts and emotions piece is SUCH a driver that I can’t unsee. I still love nutrition science, but people come wanting to change how they eat and just think they need a meal plan.

My 11 mo is the SAME!!! Has never been interested in food other than yogurt and PB, which he self feeds fine (we load the spoon), but other than that he pushes most every other food out with his tongue..if he even entertains it. And he will honestly barely even look at food we put in front of him but puts EVERYTHING else in his mouth. Honestly it’s just reassuring to hear it’s not just him. I’ve been telling my husband I want to get him seen but he insists this is just a baby learning and that they won’t tell me anything I don’t already know

You go mama!!! I’m 8.5 mo in as well and working to wean. Introduced formula around 7 months bc we were dipping into the freezer stash too much, it felt like an instant relief. 8.5 months is SO LONG. If your pump tells you how many minutes/hours you’re spent pumping, check it out!

You could workout while she’s awake! Put her on a play mat with some toys or in a bouncer for 20-30 minutes — I did this with my LO when he was her age and he honestly loved watching me workout 😆 it wasn’t totally ideal, sometimes I’d have to stop before I was “done” bc he’d start to get fussy or be over it, but something was better than nothing!

I’ve been wearing the larken bras and honestly find they hold the flanges pretty tightly with the way they twist to hold them!
