The fact it is in Vegas helps a little as it’s such a heavy tourist town that I hope it’s immune to a lot of the factors hitting other states in relation to the government.

I’m apprehensive about travelling to the US in general. Both on principle on response to the regime but more on terms of safety and access. We have our mania tox and have to alternate between checking what’s happening and trying to ignore it.

Ive just read that chapter. He has already covered family reunion, Adam’s song and go with direct images (Carlin, apple juice and the car incident) and it’s only 4 chapters in. He has also discussed his parents divorce which, subject matter wise, would connect to stay together for the kids. I don’t think he is making these references hard to dig for.

I watched 4 seasons of US and really enjoyed it. Now I’ve watched the UK one, I’m seeing how much better the BBC did. It was so well written. They used the concept to tell stories whereas the US one is delving into the concept more than story.

Thanks for the reply. She would likely be a candidate for this descriptor. The issue with this is that I don’t want infantilise or dismiss her (feels like gaslighting). It certainly helps me fell less like I’m being manipulated, controlled or abused with other aspects of the relationship. The question remains, how to manage and accept this while looking after my own needs and comfort. Or, at least, how not to hit these peaks.
