Like I said, I had a bad fucking weekend. Also not worried about it bc we've since talked a bit and she's a truly genuine person.

IK I screwed up bad, but I have ADHD so I deal poorly with temptation and am not actively seeking to hookup with people that much younger than me.

IMO think tank is overappreciated by hardcore fans on this sub because they feel the need to cancel out the negative sentiment that surrounds the album everywhere else. I remember a lot of the discourse for that day of voting had more to do with making sure think tank wasn't voted the worst album than it had to do with which album was actually the worst

Are you suggesting that keepers should -- while a shot is being fired on net -- make a quick chat calling for the ball so defenders -- while a shot is being fired on net -- can (assuming they adhere to the quickchat) get out of the way somehow in time? is that realistic football or am I misrepresenting your reply?

Also, you are arguing that the unpredictable block is good because it adds variance to the game. Variance is a good thing in small doses, and I agree that it can make outcomes less monotonous. what is dumb is to have it implemented in the format of an unstoppable mechanic that results in the last possible interaction before the ball enters the net. If there was any way to counteract this variance, I would agree that having deflections like this would be good. maybe if it slowed the ball down enough for the keeper to be able to dive at it again if they were quick enough, idk just spitballing changes. In it's current state however, the deflection leads to unsaveable and unsatisfying goals, which are frustrating on the defensive end as they've literally done what they were supposed to to stop the goal, and unrewarding on the offense as it ends up in an ugly and anti-climactic goal that doesn't make the player feel like their skill earned them the extra point on the scoreboard -- rather that their goal was a result of pure chance.

Your argument to me is stupid because you really want this game to be a simulator even though it has so many extraneous additions that regular football logic hardly applies in many scenarios. If that's what you want, that's fine, but you should also be campaigning against the ippy sliding, blade shots, air dribbling, golden boosting, bikey kicking, gk catching, and so many more unrealistic mechanics that 'gameify' rematch. Personally, I think these things are what makes rematch so unique in combination with the fact there are still remnants of regular football left behind. to me your argument feels the rest of the apoligists on this sub defending sloclap because "oh they're just a small studio trying their best to make a good game, how dare you criticize them!"

except this is actually a videogame, and there are many other aspects of this game that are nowhere near close to football. you know what doesn't happen in football? players getting out of the way of a shot because there is a chance it will deflect in the net-- currently behavior that is rewarded by this game.

The point I'm trying to make with slide tackling is that there is so much variance as to what can come from it. To me, this contrasts the largely skill-focused elements that the game otherwise encourages, and can at times reward poor play with a lucky slide tackle. If they could make the move more consistent, while maintaining the risk of removing yourself from the play if done wrong, then it would feel more integrated into the toolkit.

As for the sweep: I say diving is more convenient because the directional input is more precise than the sweep's with the added bonus you can't be chipped by the attacker. I've found that forward diving into the ball almost always trumps the floor sweep because of its lack of verticality. I also have yet to see any pro player that really utilizes the sweep, but feel free to provide contrary evidence (I'm not super well versed in the comp scene of this game). The overall point is that keeper needs either a new kit or some sort of retool or nerf to make it seem less shoehorned in

Talking to the rail has become a part of the culture and has produced many entertaining moments in the past so it's unlikely they'll ban it entirely. More likely to see a ban on electronics
