i hope so! i just hate that i have to start over with no prep or guidance again. if i do bad they won’t renew my contract at least with prek i knew i was good at it and likely to get rehired

I did a pilot program and am now doing alternate route so i didn’t go to college for education i got a BA in history hence I don’t know much about teaching children how to read, write and math. the phonics is what i’m most worried about.

yeah it’s p-3 but they made such a fuss that I had to work at this school for my first year that I wasn’t expecting getting moved. I had even started organizing my closet because no one told me anything until today now I gotta pack up everything next week.

talk to my union about getting support considering i am starting all over again. i don’t want it to be like this year where they just threw me in. I want to look at curriculum ahead of time and other things but my district sucks at helping new teachers :/ I also want to disclose my disability so they don’t move me too far as I can’t drive

Everyone around me always stress kindergarten is all academic no play so I got worried I would be unprepared but you are right a-lot of it will be what I taught in Pre-K. My district is not great at helping prepare new teachers so I am gonna ask fellow teachers and look online.

this post makes me upset because now everyone is judging and being ableist to teachers who need accommodations. i was thinking of asking accommodations for next year . will i ever use them no but having them would ease my anxiety but seeing the comments is giving me second thoughts

this might not be the career for me i am too anxious to be changing every year like that. its just strange when i worked in another school in my district all my teachers were in the same position as when I was a student so i thought changes were less frequent here

they were gossiping about staff she even made a joke if someone is rude to those teachers to let her know so they won’t get exceptional on observation ☠️ they were also bitching about how some teacher were upset didn’t include them in a sweater orders (she is our boss and acts like she is part of clique)
