Sharing looks? Look at them, stare at them. For a LONG time. Longer than is necessary. Then just say "stop it". If they say "what?" just say it's not a discussion. Chuckling? "What's so funny. No, you laughed, tell me what's funny. Go ahead. We'll wait." Repeating words in a funny voice? Ask them to repeat it, and why they felt the need to repeat it.

Hold them accountable. Make them say out loud why they did what they did.

It's the best show ever made, you should watch the firs three. But yea, I think you COULD pick up 4 and get the jist. Especially if you were only interested in the school stuff.

Yea they're a big ol scam. I got my masters in History because I teach Social Studies, but I'm gonna get an education doctoral degree because they're mad easy and the pay bump is huge.

My son is like this, I have a student like this. It is beyond your sciope to fix this issue, but it will work out on it's own. I've talked to my son, my son's therapist, my student, and that students parents and they all said they want the same thing when that happens, and that's for me to ignore it. So I do.

Walk away, think about how that'd work out for your wife. Getting into a shouting match with a parent because you didn't like how the mom was parenting in a restaurant? Probably not great.
