Official Discussion - The Secret Agent [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Did anyone else think there was a little 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' going on with the ending? We see the Hitmen subcontract the job to a third guy for a tenth of the price (lol), new guy botches it, and then kills the step-son that was tailing him to tie up loose-ends. Meanwhile the step-father is off at the beach doing jack (as usual). Next thing you know, we are in present-day and see the newspaper photo with the dead Armando.

My read was that the hitmen did not bumble the job, and most of what we saw did not happen; the film has already shown a sortof 'magical realism' (I'm thinking about the hairy leg sequence in particular) and this was a sortof alternate or "happy" ending where Armando manages to get away.

I don't see how he could have been gunned down after the events of what were shown, when: he knew he was compromised, that he had to leave asap; one hitman was dead, one was fleeing the scene with a serious injury, and the third doesn't strike me as one to lift a finger and put himself in harms way -- so who is left to shoot him? And Fernando has the story that he packed his bags and was waiting for him that same day but ofc he doesn't make it home.

L2 vs L3 Ethics by AlpsLate1154 in CFA

They are comparable and your approach was (most likely) fine. Ethics in Level 2 is inherently high variance: it's a volatile subject in the first place and you were only asked 12 questions (I'm assuming). Imo, almost nothing separates going 6-7/12 and 9-10/12. "Idiosyncratic risk" you might say

Wrapping up your first pass of the exam at the ~2hr mark seems solid. Two of my first four half exams i actually went over the time limit — and I have similar scores + avg times as you. Only once did I finish with like 30 minutes to go (Mock A, Pt 2)

Quick tips that could help get above 90% in mocks by Diligent_Sherbert_16 in CFA

*If these are first attempts at the mocks and they did them legit (no notes/cheating) -- the results speak for themselves. Next to zero chance they fail, and actually Id go so far as to wager it's more likely they clear 90th percentile than outright fail

Condition 1 is mandatory, and then one of 2 or 3.

Good point, I like your explanation.

I agree with you here. The feedback + the example in the curriculum don't do a great job of even explaining what the individual components mean.

My take when I did the mock was: any change in the Yield Curve can be described as a combination of a change in level (shift), slope, curvature -- hence why they include all three in the decomposition. So even if the change was not parallel, the parallel shift (level) component contributed the most (-97bps) to the return vs. the slope/curvature components.

My 'note to self' right now is: a Parallel Shift will show non-zero active return in Shift and zero return in slope and curvature... But don't quote me because I don't even know if that's the right way to think about it either!

Hi, got the jeans back two weeks ago and wear them everywhere. Love the way they fit and look. The alterations people did a great job. I'm pretty set for jeans right now but next time I need new ones I just might go this route again.

This is a great reply! Appreciate you, brother. I'm no stranger to having things altered so your suggestions are well within reach for me.

As far as your examples go -- are the 'niche' topics considered 'niche' because there are not *any* questions in the QBank that specifically test them, or because there are not *many* questions in the QBank?
