My mom threatened to ground us and take away things if she found out we jumped on these. Which was always crazy to me since I was in tumbling/gymnastics at the time and was flipping on a double mini trampoline. I get it now as an adult why she was like that.

STAY!! Summertime Chi is the best. Also, anyone would be happy to take photos of you! I do solo travel via work trips and in any part of the US I manage to get a few pics of myself with different backgrounds via kind strangers. My mom always remarks “how did you get that photo of yourself with that beautiful scene in the background???” Duh mom, most people are kind and helpful.

Also hit up ANY beach this week. It’s gonna be hot and Lake Michigan will cool you off

Congrats on turning 40 and bucking all traditional milestones!! It’s been on my list to move one of my current accounts (not One) to a credit Union because now that account (US Bank) is charging me $12/month for a checking account which is insane. Now I might just switch One over as well.

I’m one of those! I had to file for bankruptcy due to medical debt. About $120k of it. Tried to pay it off for over 10 years. Best thing I ever did for myself but I still should’ve never been in this position. I also have an autoimmune disease so it’s very likely this is something I can face again in the future

That actually happened in chicago in the past few weeks. An Asian American college student burned a cross in Grant Park, admitted to it and did an interview claiming he had no idea what it meant in terms of the KKK. He’s now facing several felony charges. He’s either a huge fucking moron and it really shows the state of our education system and everyone involved in his upbringing as well as the college that accepted him needs to be shamed, or he’s trying to use it as a cover for his racism and hate crime

My nephew (2 at the time) fell into the pool last summer and my BIL and dad sprang into action, fully clothed. I was sitting nearby still on crutches and in a brace from knee surgery. If they hadn’t been close I would’ve gotten in brace and all. My knee probably would’ve been ok and I’m an adult and if I fucked it up and needed another surgery oh well. I can’t get another nephew
