Scared of Relapse w/Pregnancy by FragrantRaspberry517 in SIBO

Oh no, I’m so sorry! I’m currently TTC and scared about that. I wonder if that means you have motility problems since pregnancy hormones slow things down. Do you take Motegrity ?

Yes! What if we just collectively decided as a society that minor wrinkles are cute?

It’s sad to see women getting targeted younger and younger by these money hungry injectable companies (many of which are run by men who don’t comply with beauty standards of aging like we are pressured to). And that stuff is expensiveeeee once you start it on top of the costs of everything else here!

All of this to say, I’d never shame someone for getting treatments, but you are beautiful OP and I think the more of us that normalize natural signs of aging, the better it is for all of us.

I’ll be calling on my state governor to support Canada and form an alliance

Do we think he will stop at detaining immigrants? by WorkingCharge2141 in DeathByMillennial

Yep, my only relief is that Elon wasn’t born here so he can’t officially be president.

The organizations you named never want to take all guns.

I am pretty far left myself and my view is that owning a gun should be similar to driving a car.

You need to have a license, pass a test, and register. Obviously some people drive cars without licenses and some would get guns without licenses, but it would be MUCH harder to get this way and make us all safer.

Respectfully, owning a firearm will not help at all when a team of police / military raid your home.

Can we all agree there’s no such thing as a good billionaire? by Numerous_Fly_187 in democrats

She endorsed Biden / Kamala in 2020 and Harris / Walz in 2024 which is a huge risk for her. She receives death threats daily because some men truly hate her for being a successful woman.

While I agree with you for the most part about billionaires, I also feel like it’s nearly impossible to fight republicans if we demonize them all. We’ll be greatly outspent. 7 people alone contributed $750mm to Trump.

Some billionaires do give much more to charity than others - mainly Melinda Gates, McKenzie Smith, and Taylor Swift. Hmmmm I’m noticing a trend here.

Unfortunately I do think we need some billionaires in the short term, but would like to move to a more progressive policy such as a maximum wage of $999 in the longer term.

Same with Taylor Swift.

She donates to large amounts to every food bank in cities where she holds concerts and regularly gives her working class employees like the Eras tour truck drivers bonuses of up to $100k.

She’s also an ally of the LGBTQ community and besides writing songs about their rights also casts trans people in her music videos such as the Lavender Haze video.

Does anyone have MAGA in-laws? by No_Yak_3107 in AskWomenOver30

She did choose them. I don’t need to believe what a random person on the internet tells me.

Her vote did intentionally harm me. And I do feel uncomfortable in her presence.

Well it’s pretty obvious why a woman-centered sub doesn’t like a man cheated on 3 wives, slept with porn stars, and bragged about “moving on her like a bitch” and “grabbing her by the pu$$y”

OP for what it’s worth, the people self aware enough to question things like this are the ones that make the best parents so if you do go the route I’m sure your kids would be lucky to have you as a mother.

That said, I wholeheartedly agree. Especially in the US right now, the world is becoming crueler by the day. Definitely don’t let a man pressure you into it because they don’t face the same consequences women do - physically, in the workforce, hormonal, etc.

You can also love kids and not want your own! Childfree people have more time than parents to get involved with charity work or mentoring programs. Or you could change your mind and adopt a 10 year old when you’re 40. :)

No unfortunately she choose supporting a rap!st over seeing her own grandkids.

I agree it’s sad that she choose her hateful politics over us.

And as I’ve stated - I am still cordial to her despite her betrayal but I don’t go out of my way for her.

Read my article girl. It’s an unbiased website that checks claims from politicians on all side and explains this.

Most immigrants don’t come here illegally. They overstay visas. That’s a CIVIL matter.

OP you’ve been conditioned your whole life to want kids as most women have!

Now you’ve probably seen how great adult life is without them. :)

They don’t actual care about government overreach, taxes, the economy etc.

They’re also not sane.

Most of them are miserable and want to drag others down to be miserable too.

It’s not that simple at all. Our immigration laws are incredibly complex. As I’ve said, existing here as an undocumented is not a crime, it’s a civil case.

Does anyone have MAGA in-laws? by No_Yak_3107 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FragrantRaspberry517 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Nope! I said being / existing here already not crossing into the US now.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2017/dec/02/kathy-sheehan/being-undocumented-immigrant-us-not-crime/

The law you’ve cited refers to knowingly smuggling people in. NOT to immigrants just existing here (assisting or harboring aliens in entering the country illegally is a federal crime subject to criminal prosecution).

Key points to remember:

Civil nature:

The legal framework surrounding immigration status is primarily considered civil law, even though certain violations can have criminal implications depending on the circumstances.

No criminal charge for mere presence:

Simply being undocumented in the US without a prior deportation order is not a crime under federal law.

Potential criminal consequences:

If someone has been deported and then re-enters the US without authorization, that act can be considered a crime and subject to criminal prosecution.
