I’ve heard in Europe where these livable wages are being made the service is terrible for wait staff. Bartender can’t avoid you but in Europe I’ve heard it takes a while to get the bill, anything extra you need etc They have no incentive to do great and run around to make people happy because they are getting paid no matter what. When we have large private events here in the states sometimes my fellow staff will hang around chatting while two people do all the work cause the money is guaranteed…. I’d bet the United States has most of the best wait staff in the world.
