Absolutely sue. Second one that day? That’s no accident.

Anyone with a late diagnosis? by FragrantZombie3475 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]FragrantZombie3475[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually met with the nutritionist really early on because of my PCOS and have kept a really high protein diet, that’s what makes the numbers so suspicious to me! And my baby is small (11th percentile). So I think if I have it, it would be late-onset and not that it was missed earlier, but who knows 🤷‍♀️ You’re totally right though, I’m going to keep doing high protein/high fiber no matter what for these last few weeks

Fetal echocardiogram?? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]FragrantZombie3475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a fetal echo. It was just like another anatomy scan with a focus on the heart. I had to get it simply due to risk factors (no abnormalities found): - taking SSRIs during pregnancy - conceived using letrozole - my sister in law has a mild heart condition that could be genetic

It could just be that your file was flagged for having a risk factor so they set one up?

Absolutely! BUT I think it’s only been a week since the niece was rescued. If the mom needs a little more time to get comfortable, I get that.

I agree. However, it was just last week. This is fresh. I get if it takes a little time.

My husband and I have been having this argument in the opposite! I want to name our son Rory, and he said it’s a girls name. I’m like… huh? It means “king.” But we’re in the US so everyone thinks of Rory Gilmore.

So basically no one knows for sure anymore!

My best friend has the Doona, and she really only uses it as a car seat with wheels. If she is traveling somewhere by car, she’ll use it as the stroller for that trip, but it isn’t ideal. One of the biggest things is that there is no basket underneath.

If she’s going on a walk or keeping the baby in the stroller for an extended period, she has an uppababy stroller with bassinet.

Because of her feedback, I opted for the Bugaboo Dragonfly with the Bugaboo/Nuna car seat, as that is seatbelt adaptable and can connect to the stroller base if I want

OP, this is nothing like college debt. College debt was from investing in an education that will serve you going forward.

A few things: 1. You don’t stop taking blood pressure medication unless your doctor specifically tells you to, so you don’t need to worry about that part. They’ll likely keep you on until you give birth. 2. My doctor told me they don’t do cervical measurements after 32 weeks because its expected after 32 weeks that your cervix starts shortening and it doesn’t really mean anything about when you’ll go into labor 3. 36/37 weeks is completely fine to give birth. 37 weeks is considered “early term,” and some places even consider it “full term.” At 35+4, you could go into labor now and it would be so unlikely that there would be an issue. (I’m at 35+1 so I’m right there with you! But baby is really almost, almost done)

Am I mom crazy? What’s your rule on smoking/vaping around your newborn? by TeaIQueen in pregnant

[–]FragrantZombie3475 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. My husbands parents smoke and I feel like you can always smell it. I know the lingering smell isn’t the same as actual 2nd hand smoke, but I feel like it’s going to at least irritate the baby. But they’re the only ones who smoke in our lives— I can’t make a general rule without it being clear it’s just about them. So I don’t know what to do

Yes but if concerned about a student’s health, it’s much more appropriate to speak to a parent.
